Process of study,Time management & techniques
The study pattern of every person is different from the other and there is also a doubt that what works for one person may not work for another. Learning or studying & being motivated is a natural process. Which i want to tell & also presenting some techniques by which can make his or her study skills better.
The process of study:
We all have thinking skills but only few of us know how to use them effectively. Some of us really want to the hard work but does not from where to start, when to start & what to start. Now i am talking about students who want receive good grades but fail to do so because they do not know the right technique for it. Good study skills must be practiced in order to improve. It is not enough to simply "think about" studying; but we have to actually do it, and in the process use information from what we do to get better. This is the central idea of topic. All that follows depends on this single concept. There is a saying that goes like this: "Practice makes a man perfect;with a modification it can be read as "perfect practice makes perfect." To become an achiever, take this saying to heart. To develop perfect study skills one needs following things:-
1) A good scedule.
2) Choice of study place.
3) To know when to study.
4) To know what to study.
5) Importance of every hour- time management.
6) Thinking skills. etc
First of all we should know the importance of a good schedule. If we don't have a schedule or plan for studying, then we will not have any way of allocating our valuable time when the unexpected comes up. A good, well thought out schedule can be a lifesaver.A good schedule, if properly prepared, assigns time where time is needed. A good schedule provides the direction towards the goal. A student's schedule should take into account every class, laboratory, lecture, social event, and other work in which he is engaged during the span of his school hours. So the first thing is to make a good schedule.
When it comes to choice of study place one can study anywhere. Obviously, some places are better than others. Libraries, peaceful garden or private rooms are best. The fact should be understood that the place to choose for study should not be distracting. Distractions can build up, anywhere but can be avoided if choosing a good physical environment is made a part of study habits. And once this habbit develops a noisy place too cannot distract us from our study. So choosing the right environment for study is as important & useful as making a schedule.
I personally do not agree with students relying upon 'one night fight' tag as the problem of when to study is critical.Learning & studying should be carried out only when one is rested, alert, and have planned for it. Last minute studying just before a class or an exam is usually a waste of time. Here comes the value of the schedule.
When studying for lecture courses:
If any study period is before the lecture class, be sure to read all the assignments and make notes on what is not able to be grasped or understood. If the study period is after the lecture class, the notes have to be reviewed during class while the information is still fresh.
When studying for recitation courses:
For classes that require recitation, we have to to schedule a study period just before the class. The time can be used for practice. Sometimes, practice with others can help sharpen the skills in a before-class study period.
Revising a schedule:
Don't be afraid to revise the schedule you have prepared as it gives a chech mark about the portio completed & how much is left. Schedules are really plans for how to intend to use the time. If one's schedule doesn't work, he must revise it. One must understand that his or her schedule is to help them develop good study habits. Once they have developed them, schedule building becomes easier.
Importance of every hour- Time management:
Time is the most valuable resource a student has. It is also one of the most wasted of resources. The schedule developed should guide students in how to allocate the available time in the most valuable & productive manner. Sticking to the schedule can be tough call.Valuable time should not be dribbled away. Avoiding study is the easiest thing in the world but doing it seems cumbersome these days. It's up to one's own desire to follow the schedule he prepared. A good deal of our success in schools, colleges or in competitive exams depend on this simple truth.
Thinking & I maginitive approach:
Everybody has thinking & imaginitive skills, but few know how to use them effectively. Effective imaginitive or thinking skills cannot be studied, but must be built up over a period of time. Good thinkers see possibilities where others see only dead-ends. If one is not a good thinker,he can start anytime by developing habits that make him ask himself or herself questions as he reads. Talking to other students who are good thinkers helps a great deal in developing thinking habbit. Ask them what it is they do when they think critically or creatively. Often times, we can pick up valuable insights to help ourselves become a better thinker.

I have posted this article in 2010. At that time, i have a flair for writing. Filled with energy & enthusiasm i have started posting in ISC but all of a sudden something went wrong with my destiny & that severe accident happened. Almost a year i have done nothing & now i feel very low confidence in writing something. The valuable suggestions of the ISC members prove to be encouraging.
