How to handle a team - Some Tips

Know your people



Interaction is the key in team handling. You need to interact very frequently with the team and let them know about ongoing progress of the company. Ask the members about their likes and dislikes, gel well with them.

Performance reports



Share the performance reports of each and every member of the team on weekly or monthly basis. Everybody wants to perform and grow in their organization. Appreciate their good work and guide them when they are not performing well. Motivate and assist them to perform.

Define a career Path for the team



Analyse the members of the team based on their strengths and weaknesses. For example if someone is good at communication skills advice and motivate him to get a promotion in a department where these skills are requires like customer service or dealing with the clients. If someone is good at analysis advice him accordingly. Prepare them for the next level based on their skills.

Rewards and Recognitions



Reward and appreciate the members for their outstanding work. Take care of the timing. The recognition should be immediately after some achievement.

Give your members a chance to speak

about their experiences and success in the team briefings and meetings. They will feel proud about it.

Lead by Example


Your team members will follow your activities. Be careful about your body language. Arrive on time at office and always be enthusiatic and smiling. The team will follow the suit.

Team members don't like the supervisors who simply talk about work

and work. Interact with them on different issues, current affairs. Have some sense of humour as well.
