The simplest interview of my life- at Infosys.
Yes, it really was the simplest recruitment procedure out of all. One aptitude and one HR, that's all you are in. How to attend interview? Read it.
Before this i have attended at least 3-4 interviews all related to IT field.
But this was and it would be the simplest of it's kind.
Procedure:
I attended the Infosys campus recruitment procedure on 15th December 2009.
Place : i attended it on my college campus, MIT,Pune.
Criteria: The minimum criteria was 58% till the 6th semester.
No. of students: nearly 400 attended the procedure.
Pattern: Initially there was seminar of around 2-3 hours. We were just introduced to company policies,terms, pay packages, training period etc.
there was an aptitude exam organised by an agency called Merit Track.
1/2 hr to fill the application.
You won't take it seriously now, but this was major issue for me. Even after filling the application form which college provides, we have to fill another big form from Infosys. And it's really huge because they will ask you to fill the detail semester-wise marks, and i didn't carried any references to fill the form
,and it took my time in calculating percentage, eating up my some time of examination.
LOGICAL - 45min 30Q ( 6 main que each hving 5 sub que)
ENGLISH - 30min 40Q ( 2 long RC's - 10 Que, Sentence completion,
Finding correct sentence of two..)
Out of 500 , 70 students were selected out of this exam.
But it was totally surprising for me. Because i had given up the hopes.
But don't make such mistakes . Have a faith in miracles.
Infosys HR Interview:
After this panel of about 10 delegates was present there to take interviews parallel.
The HR interviews were taken in our classrooms only, so we were feeling quiet safe and comfortable.
The guy who took my interview was very senior but friendly .
After entering the room he welcomed me and asked me to sit.
There after he had a glance at my C.V. ,and directly got sticked to some points in CV.Without asking me about my name or any introduction ,he started asking me about my co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
As i had participated in many activities like national level Robocon competition , he started asking me about the same.
He kept on asking like ,what was the event, where it was, was it a team work or individual work, what was your part in it, what problems do you faced in it , where you lacked , how much did you achieved in the event , etc.....
And i was able to manage a good story for it.
After this i was expecting him to start ant new topic, but he did't . There i got surprised he didn't ask me a single question other than Robocon and said nice to talk you and asked me to leave. But i did't get what to understand out of it. But one thing i come to know about all students is that no one was asked anything technical questions.
After this we awaited for results for about 6-7 hours.
After that whom they felt poor in interviews were given another chance.
And results were declared by 10 pm.
Out of 70, 47 students were selected.
And now we have got the joining date of 13th September 2010.
