The Aim of all Reading is Realization of Meaning. Each Individual Employees a number of Techniques and Strategies to get the right meaning. All these Techniques Researches unanimously feel that PSQ5R stands for:

P- Purpose
S- Survey
Q- questions

PURPOSE:- Experts says that Purpose Oriented Reading is meaningful. Reading aimlessly senses no Purpose. When Reader looks at Reading Material with blank Eye. He gets only an Nuclear and Burred Pictures but When Reader Reads with a Purpose he establish a turning with a Purpose he establish a turning between the eye balls and material.

SURVEY:- Survey means to get an overview or the overall pictures beore going into details. The Reading experts recommend to join for quick survey. The Survey should be titles, sub-titles Vocabulary. Introduction and Summary at the end of the Chapter. The Reader does not understand a Word in a Sentence, but the Quick Survey of the page helps in understanding the utterly new words.
It is like standing at a talk to have an arid view of the Situation. A good Reader take note the words in Fla-tics, Graphs, Diagram Tables and Keywords. The Readers should spend 5% of the total time Surveying. A Survey has to be Brief, Least, One falls into the Detail.

QUESTIONS:- Asking Questions is not a Speaker, Listener, Exercise, inserted it is a material exercise which involves ear and mind, Raising Questions in the mind continually from the title and Heading helps the Reader to get the proper mental position for Reading. The asking of Questions in mind should not be like," Who is the author?, Which topic is the talking about?, It is Scientific or non Scientific?" and so on. The theory of SW's and 14 should be adopted i.e. What, When, Where, Who, Why, How.

5R's

READING SELECTIVELY:- Researches feel that the selective Reading a myth, because there is a risk of missing number of detailed. By applying Yard stick of a Purpose Survey, Question, A Reader can realize. What is it to be selected and What is to be Rejected. Reading at a good speed is essential for the mind to stay active.

RECITE:- It is means to speak a loud the written word. It involves the use of tongue. To hear the written word helps to established a link with all the sense and help in better comprehension history gives evidence.

REDUCE RECORD:- Reduction and Recording goes side by side. It is true that reduces material is will Recorded. This is like making a mind.

REFLECT:- Refection on the Reading material transports the Reader to new realms on automatic process of comparison and contrasts.

REVIEWS:- The last stage in Reading Strategy is respective the previous steps. So to Review one has to skim over the material Survey the Headings, Answer the Questions, Recite make note and Reflect on the Material Reading.
