A subject consists of many topics. The main objective of the topic is first specified. To achieve the main objective,it is divided into a number of specific objectives in a sequential manner.

The main objective is defined as under.

The lesson plan is prepared based on these objectives.

The lesson plan consists of the following.

It is always advisable to put some questions on the lesson taught in the previous session.Once satisfied the teacher can proceed with the lesson for the day. This helps in keeping the students on the alert as questions the previous session will be asked.

The teacher should first understand the entry behavior of the students.Entry behavior means the knowledge with which the student enters the class room.If the student is taught the basics of the topic to be dealt, then the teacher can expect the students to have certain basic knowledge and proceed from there.

Reinforcement/Application

The application of the formulas is explained by working out problems. If the topic consists of concepts and theory, then they are related to the field problems or day to day situations and examples are given to reinforce the understanding of the students. The problems are to be worked out with the help of the students, that is the students should be involved in the process.
Working out problems from the previous examination papers will motivate the students. It generates interest in them.
