What is IIT JEE 2011?
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2011 is the exam for admission to the undergraduate programs for the academic year 2011 in all IIT Institutes in India (list given below).IIT JEE 2011 Papers Format and Syllabus
The JEE 2011 Exam format will be 2 papers, each of 3 hours duration. Both the question papers will be of an objective type. The candidate can opt for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi.

Timings of IIT JEE 2011:
(a) Paper 1: 09:00 to 12:00 hrs

1. Date of Birth: Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must be born on or after October 1st, 1986 & those belonging to SC, ST, and PD categories must be born on or after October 1st, 1981.
2. Year of Passing Qualifying Exam (QE): A candidate must have passed the qualifying exam, namely XII Std. or any equivalent exam, for the first time on or after October 1st, 2009 or will be appearing in 2011.
3. Minimum Percentage of marks in QE: Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at lest 60% marks and SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the Qualifying Examination.

Important Information on IIT JEE 2011:
(1) A candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years. That means one should have attempted JEE for the first time in 2010 or will be appearing in 2011.
(2) If any candidate has accepted admission after qualifying in JEE in earlier years by paying the registration fee at any of the IITs, IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad, he/she will not be eligible to write JEE at all, irrespective of whether the candidate joined or not in any of the programs. Application Procedures for IIT JEE 2011 can be done online or offline.
1. How to make Online Submission of Application for JEE-2011: Visit any of the IIT websites (list below) and follow the instructions provided therein. Candidates can pay the application fee through NEFT or through challan of selected banks. The application fees for IIT JEE 2011 on-line mode is Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PD/Female candidates and Rs.900/- for all other candidates.
2. How to make Offline Submission of Application for JEE-2011: A candidate can buy an application form with Information Brochure from any one of the designated branches of banks by paying application fees for IIT JEE 2011 offline mode of Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD/Female candidates (light yellow envelope) and Rs.1000/- for all other candidates (white envelope).
