Central Sector Scholarship for College and University students
Details about the scholarship given by central government based on
+2 public exam mark conducted by State Board of School Examination
Hello everyone.
Have you aware of this "Central Sector Scholarship for College and University students".
This scholarship is sponsored by central government to states like Kerala,Tamil Nadu,etc
It is awarded to students who have completed their +2 public exam conducted by
State Board of School Examination.
This scholarship comes during the month of October or November .At this time the candidate may be doing his/her college,I year.Hence the name of the scholarship is so.
Eligibility is to have 80%marks in +2 public Exam.
Students can apply for this scholarship through their colleges.
Application are available at http://www.tn.gov.in/dge
the form ,fill in the details and submit to Directorate of Government Examination through college or in-person.
Under this scholarship UG students can get rs 10000 per year for three years .That is totally a UG student gets rs 30000 through this scholarship.
PG student gets rs 20000 in his/her 4th and 5th year of college.
I applied for this scholarship last year .Last year the situation was based on casts :they fixed the minimum marks for each casts.For example BC-1158/1200,OC-1136/1200,SC-980/1200.Students having their total above the mentioned marks alone were eligible. Totally for a number of 4883 students the scholarship will be given.I belong to BC .I got 1151 only.Later they asked all those
who got above 80% marks to apply .Now I got the scholarship.
