The International Cricket Council (ICC) is inviting cricket fans to vote for their all-time favourite one-day team and their all-time favourite one-day game. This is to mark the 40th anniversary of the first-ever ODI game played between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Club on January 16th, 1971.

It is not at all surprising to see batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar included in the greatest ODI team ever! He makes and breaks records with ease and has shown that age is not necessarily a hurdle for a sportsperson. What's more, Sachin Tendulkar is also in the running for the 2011 Laureus Sportsman of the Year Award . I'm sure you will be taking part in the ICC voting process for Sachin!

In addition to Sachin Tendulkar, the other Indians to be shortlisted for the ICC greatest ever ODI team are Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguly, M.S.Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.
