Magnetic flux, magnetic field characters of magnets
In this resource, magnetism subject is explained in theoretical approach. Some sub concepts in magnetism are also explained in brief in this resource. In this resource, some living examples have been given regarding to the concepts of sub components in magnetism.
Magnetism and fundamental magnetic properties:
Now-a-days, we use tele-communication that shape up in different dimensions. The fundamental material for working in tele-communication is that related to magnetism subject. Suppose you put a magnet on a table. when you bring a small iron pieces near to the magnet, automatically they are attracted by the magnet. The distance upto the magnet around which its effect influenced the iron pieces is called magnetic field length. The area of attraction around the magnet is called magnetic field.
Magnetic lines are imaginary which can be observed when you put small iron pieces on the paper and keep the magnet under the paper with touch and moving. Then automatically, we can see some design observed on the paper. Just it is a example to understand magnetic lines. Actually, when we see the definition that a line joining any two points in the direction of magnetic field is called as magnetic lines of force.
Based on magnetic lines of force, magnetic flux definition to be explained. That definition is that the number magnetic lines of force present per unit volume and perpendicular to the cross-section of the magnet is called as magnetic flux.
When we put a magnetic compass in air, then it shows the direction of North and South. We can imagine a vertical plane which is passing through the line of geographical north and south poles of earth is known as Geographical meridian. This imagined plane cannot be changed. Another imagine vertical plane which is passing through the line joining the north and south poles of the magnet which freely suspended in air is known as Magnetic meridian. This all explanation is regarding to the fact that earth behaves like a magnet. It is a amazing thing that earth's magnetic field is nearly 5,28,000km from its surface. The angle between geographical meridian and magnetic meridian is called as declination.
One more important concept in magnetism that intensity of magnetic field which means a force experienced by a unit north pole when placed it at point in a magnetic field. Based on the intensity of magnetic field, some important characterstics of magnet can be explained.
