College selection tips

Selection of a good college is very much necessary to make a good career. In the below article I am going to give you some tips on which you can select whether a particular college is best for you or not.
  1. Google search : If you want to take admission in a college in your city and you are not sure about the colleges in your city then you can take the benefits of the Google to determine the exact position of the colleges with landmarks so that you can easily find them while collecting information about that. There are hundreds of colleges are opening daily in India but the main thing is that are they really exists means they may be real or fake. The main aim of googling a college in your city is to make a list of good colleges in your city.

  2. Take small trips to the selected college: Now the main thing is that how the check the working of the administration of the selected colleges. The main motive or aim of these visits is to check the inner part of the college. Taking knowledge from the career councilors of that college is not 100% truth because the work of the councilors is to make students to take admission in that college only, this is their work. College staff always tells the advantages and strong points of that college not the weak points. To know these weak points you have to meet college students of various departments.

  3. Reputation : Reputation of a college is another factor which cannot be ignored at the time of admission because reputation is the only key from which you can check the inner strength of that college. If a college result is coming 100% from that last few years then its reputation is good but 100% result is not only the factor on which a college can claim it is the best college in your city, it also deals with the behavior of the previous year students and ingoing students. Some colleges are famous for sports or cultural activities and some of them are famous for the studies.

  4. Transport facility and Locality : Transport facility is the most important factor for selecting a college for further studies. Attending college daily needs proper transport facility otherwise you will suffer from the poor transport facility and your studies will suffer from it. The main thing is that you should choose a college where there is a very good transport facility is available. Suppose you have taken admission in a very reputed college far away from city, now it is very difficult to reach there without your own vehicle, but it is not possible for everyone to have their own vehicles.

  5. Fees Structure of the college : Fee structure is a very important factor which influence most of the middle class family. Choosing a very high profile private college is very difficult for the students whose parents are in the government jobs. So it is better to take admission in the college where the fees is minimum or affordable and also the reputation should be good.

  6. Pillars of a college: Faculties and the HOD are the main stands of a college, if these pillars are strong and having high influencing power then the overall progress of the college can be achieved. Having very good faculties can also help students to take benefit of the knowledge of their masters. So according to me everyone should take admission in which they think that the staff of the college is very cooperative and helpful.

Guidelines for choosing an Engineering college

Going in an engineering field is a most common way to make your career brighter. According to me almost all the students are having passion to get admission in a very good engineering college after their 12th board exams. In India the future of Engineering is very bright as India is fastest emerging country and there will be a tremendous need of Engineers in the future too. Getting admissions in a very good engineering college is a tough job because you have to work really hard to get good marks in AIEEE and other competitive exams for getting admissions in a reputed college.

  1. Ragging free campus : Ragging free campus is very much required because in many of the colleges many students are committing suicide just because of this ragging activity. College administration is taking steps to all the responsible students who are motivating students but nothing happening. In an Engineering college small ragging means small activities like dancing and singing are allowed but there are some anti social animals who are just polluting the full environment of the college premises. Beware of these type of college, otherwise your future will in big trouble.

  2. Previous year results : Before selecting a Engineering college you have to be very careful about the previous year results of that particular college. The previous year results of a college reveals the truth that this college is best for me or not. Suppose in an Engineering college the previous year result are as follows:

    2008 : 93%,
    2009 : 92.33%,
    2010 :90.56%,
    2011- 89.99%
Then this college is not good for taking admission because the continuous decrease in the pass percentage makes it unsuitable for good students. The continuous decrease in the college performance is because of the following reasons.
    1. Poor faculties, who are not be able to command on students.
    2. Weak Administration of the college
So always take a look to the previous year results of the college in which you want to take admission.

  3. Hostel facility : Hostel facility is very much needed for the students who are living aloe just to do Engineering college from a good reputed college. Hostel facility should be present within the 1KM area from the college campus. This will help the students to concentrate on the studies not to waste time in traveling in buses.
