Recruitment System of Teachers in Andhra Pradesh 2011
This resource gives an idea how a candidate can be selected as a teacher in the recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh. In this article, some information is given on the passed teacher recruitments. This article is witness of how GO No:3 becomes shadows in the lives of candidates who want to become teachers.
The way of teacher recruitment system in Andhra Pradesh:
In Andhra Pradesh, number of teachers have been recruiting for 15 years by the government to fulfil the needs of secondary education. Before entering of RTE-2009 act, there was the ratio of teacher, and pupil is 1:40, but Right to Education act changed this ratio to 1:30. With this change in the ratio, requirement of teachers was enhanced. For that purpose, at the same time government wanted to improve the quality in education by carrying out Teacher Eligibility Test(TET) for B.Ed., and D.Ed., candidates to approach teacher recruitment test.
It is unfortunate thing that due to reservations, the quality in education is decreased. Come to Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh, according to GO No:3 only S.T. candidates should apply for teacher posts in the agency area in that district. Therefore still in Khammam district, the number of candidates are always less than the number posts in the agency area.
I think that male candidates become victims of this recruitment of teachers in Khammam district. According to reservations, they can get only 20 posts per 100 posts in general category and remaining 80 are reservation posts relating to different castes and ladies.
It is happy to say that teacher recruitment have been going with transparent manner since 1996. Before, teachers were not recruited even they had proved their performance in the written examination. Some genius candidates lost their chances due to interviews in which authorities offered some corruption towards the candidates.
Mainly counceling system gives the scope to new teachers to select correct places to work. Even this process is done for transfers of teachers also. This is good change in the process of teacher recruitment. Now, in education system, all the old generation of teachers have been retired and young generation of teachers worked. This is the scenario of way of recruitment of teachers in Andhra Pradesh. The process of recruitment of teachers as follow
1. Over all Andhra Pradesh, before recruiting teachers, a notification will be released to tell about the number posts in different districts in different disciplines. In that notification qualification for required posts also specify. Way submitting application and where to buy the application is also specified in that notification.
