Different Types Of Listeners In The World
Many people assume they are good listeners, few actually are. An average person is only 25% as listener. Now many international companies choose only those people who are good in there listening. Here is the list of different types of listener in the world.
Listening is the important part of living being. That is how we learn and grow in life. But it is common site that most of the people are not good listener .This causes hindrances in the development of them.
There are four general types of listeners:
1. Active listeners
2. The evaluating listeners
3. The marginal listeners
4. The non listenersActive listeners
1) They listen the speaker words with felling, attachment and emotions. They always try to understand the depth of the knowledge given by the speaker and try to find out what is gain for them.
2) Active listeners take not only the content but also the feelings which are attached to the speaker's words. Active listeners always put themselves in place of speaker and try to understand the problem from speaker point of view.
3) Active listening is the highest level listening and only few people have it. Those people poses these habits are always successful in life.Evaluating listeners
1) The evaluating listeners as name suggests, they starts evaluating the thought of the speaker and hence loses to understand the true meaning of message given by the speaker.
2) This obviously leads to deterioration of trust and credibility between the listener and the speaker. He understand the content but not able to understand the feeling which are attached to the message.Marginal listeners
1) As name suggests marginal listeners only listen to the surface of the message and not gets the depth knowledge of the message content. They always postpone the problem solution and not deal with them in present.
2) They re easily distracted by the external factors like food, gossip between different people.
3) They only want to learn the bottom line of the message given. They never pay attention to what is said and what is the reason behind.Non listeners
1) At first they never listen to the speaker deliberately and do not make efforts to listen at all.
2) They interrupt in between and want their ideas to spoken. They always make fake attention towards the speaker and they always think of ideas which they want to speak.
3) This is the lowest level in the listening category.
Listening is a quality that helps in studies. Good listeners are the best counsellors.
