Diamonds are for ever
Diamond becomes the grace of the body of somebody after emerging from a very long drawn processing. When the diamonds are extracted from the mines, it is put into the crusher along with other stones. Stones become pulverised in crushers whereas diamonds come out in its entire entirety, because it is the hardest item of the planet. When diamond is chiselled after being washed with water, then the lights falling on it reflect in all its totality. Now the diamond is ready for sale. When the 'De Beers Company' of diamonds sales this diamond, it says, "The diamonds are for ever".
Gemmologists opine diamonds really are forever. Every ornament made excepting diamonds rub down, not diamonds. Diamond is such a unique metal which doesn't chafe off nor is there of getting it polished ever. Its purity, transparency, remains constant for all times to come. The test of real diamond is as such. This is the reason why diamond is treated as a precious metal.
Most precious creation of the nature- this diamond
Diamond is considered to be the most precious stone of the world and why not after all? Its never ending value catapults it to the highest pedestal of precious metal. The reason of its being so costly lies in its short supply and the mounting investments in extracting the raw diamonds from the diamond mines. Further costs are involved in making it ready for its sales in the market. Its being so costlier is quite justified. Since this is the hardest metal, massive costs are involved on to chisel it to give it a shape to make it ready for sales. It is quite difficult to estimate the cost of diamonds in country like India. People here do not have the knowledge or any idea regarding this. Beside, the government also hasn't made any policy of hallmarking or fixing its price. Due to this, it is almost impossible for the people here to estimate the real cost of diamond.
No any standardised price
There is no any standard that has been put into place for the evaluation of the price of the diamond. Its pricing depends on its purity; flawlessness and its transparency had fixed the standards. This pricing could be anywhere beginning 5000 to 50000 per carat. As for that matter, the bureau of Indian standard had fixed the measure of its standard which is yet to come into force in the country.
Since there is no hallmarking, Indian customers are being duped by the jewellers. In India, there is no any measuring yardstick so far to measure the standard and the value of the diamond, depending on the colour and quality and the standard fixed by the price list published in Rapaport magazine of America, prices of diamonds in India are fixed.
If the purity is talked about, it normally takes 1-2 days to test its purity. The testing alone costs 400-1000 per carat. There is there is the need of great understanding and knowledge at the time of buying diamonds.
Lest you get duped while purchasing the diamond, it is essential to purchase diamonds only after its proper testing and examination. Agreed, it is difficult to do so, even then if some factors are remembered at the time of its purchasing, then the chances of a good buying increase.
