There are various anger management techniques. The author has mentioned some of these in this useful article. To control anger, we are required to control our emotions. One of such techniques is to retreat and think things over. This basically means to distance/detach oneself from the present situation to give time to body and mind to calm down. This would help the person to regain power to reason.

However, this is not so easy to practice. This technique sounds very easy to follow, but in actuality, it is not so. However, considering the adverse effects of anger on oneself (both physical and mental) as well as on the near and dear ones, one must try to control his/her emotions.

I thank the author for this useful article.

Anger becomes really uncontrollable if you hide your thoughts, beliefs, your needs, your urgencies etc. in yourself without expressing them to the others. Introverts usually face this problem quite commonly. So these introverts at least sometimes have to turn into extroverts to keep themselves away from angry situations in life. If the person is able to express out their concerns, thoughts, needs, necessities, problems etc. to their friends, neighbors or to the concern persons they can ease out from frustration or agony of anger. Try to talk with others in a jovial way rather than in an argumentative way will ease you away from anger getting situations.

Maintaining a sound and quality sleep for 6-7 hours keep the individual's mind, mood, and emotions in good conditions which helps to keep away from anger.

People who face the problem of anger have to improve their communication skills which actually triggers or cause disputes among the individuals. People who are good at clear and decent communication will always avoid disputes with others which keeps the individual far away from anger.

Try to keep yourself away from reacting to every situation which will help to control your emotions and anger makes you habituated to a peaceful path. Avoid negative thinking and negative self-asserting ways in life. Always think positively and act positively to keep yourself away from anger.

Anger is an emotion which is harmful to our health. It affects blood pressure.

The best way for me to control anger is to keep quiet the moment I get it and start counting from 01 to 50 and it goes off.

I know its normal to get angry when things don't work the way we want it to be but we should understand that all the things are not in our control. So we should let it happen and should not feel remorse or bad.

The NIce article is given by the author. In fact, anger is like a terrible storm, which after leaving leaves a mark of its waste. The mind first loses its temper in anger, she says all that, which should not be said at all. If you get angry easily then it cannot be seen as a disease.

God has given many emotions to man. It also includes laughing, playing, crying, being sad, afraid, and angry. When something is wrong with us, we display our protest by showing anger. If something is wrong and then you get angry then there is nothing wrong with it. This is completely normal.

It is highly likely that there may be a genetic cause for anger. If your parents, grandparents, or ancestors were very angry, then the quality of anger naturally comes in the children. In this way, it can be very difficult to overcome this problem. To solve this type of problem, you have to work with patience.

How to control anger within us would always bother us because the third person would point out time and again that we are shouting for no reason and our raised voice is nothing but venting of anger. But there are many ways to control our anger. Firstly leave the place where the arguments go on and on, and the anger has flared up. By leaving the scene we are totally controlling ourselves from going bad to worse. If we find children at the home, try to spend more time with them. The anger within us would subsidize seeing the children behaving with us. Or go to your friend's house and talk about something new with him to forget what has happened at the home. If you are a lover of music, just switch on the music player and listen to instrumental music as it gives lots of solace and peace that is very much required. Some would prefer to go for a puff when they are in an angry mood and that should be totally avoided as the nicotine would give rise to more problems in health for us in the future. Another best way is to engage ourselves in the household work or gardening so that the tiff and face-off would be forgotten completely and with new job involvement, the mood also changes for sure.

Anger is a negative trait. All the tips given by the author are very useful. Yet, these only help to curb the anger superficially. For the time being, a person may become successful in calming down. However, anger is deep-rooted and since the real cause of anger is not known, a person may not be able to get rid of it from the roots. Consequently, it may erupt again.

A person should go deep within. Initially, it may be beneficial if he shares his feelings and emotions with near and dear ones. Sharing with a therapist is best. There are certain beliefs attached that will cause a surge of anger in the person. What these beliefs are should be known. The therapist may be able to analyze what goes around in the brain and which thoughts or words serve as triggers to the person. As therapy continues, a person will be able to do that on his own.

Once the thoughts or words or actions that trigger anger are known, a person should try his best to be away from such triggers. Replace the old beliefs that no longer serve him with new ones. Slowly, there will be a change in the behavior, and one can see remarkable improvement.

On the outside, a person should be as calm as possible. Calmness is the original and not acquired trait. Find everything that calms the mind and soothes the body. It can be walking barefoot on the grass or trekking on natural trails. It can be humming a favorite song or listening to the chirps of birds. Try to be as close to nature and as grounded as possible. Loud music, loud environments and triggering people should be avoided initially until a person can learn how to not lose his calm even in the most disturbing environment.
