Look if you are really interested in further education then you should continue with the education. And if not then go do job. But if I talk about those students who want to do higher studies for a better salary then I think you people have to choose either MS or MBA. But now question arrives that what to choose from MS, MBA and MTech. Here I am providing solutions in separate sections and an explanation for, who should follow which thing?MBA
Well it is one best option for earning in six digit salary. Only if you choose it wisely otherwise it can crush your dreams. MBA is only for those students who really have managerial skills, those who are really good enough in calculations, logical abilities and communication skills. So search within you and find which kind of person you are. Never go behind others. Choose your own way.MS or MTech
Students now the question is about MS and MTech. If you are assiduous enough, I recommend you to go for MTech from institutes like IISC and IITs, cause India will need many scientists, and professor in future because our educational sector is growing day by day. Also you can earn a good salary too if you hold good knowledge about your subject.
MS is for those students who have both technical and managerial skills. One of the most precious degree what I feel about it, because you will be known at global level then. Most of the leading companies have their CEOs from here only. MS is comparatively much costlier than MTech because you have to fund for air fare and living. However for study scholarships are also available. The entrance exam contains only of English and Mathematics sections. So it can be the better choice for students going for MTech too.Job
First thing in this section is that if you do not want to study more then go ahead for job. Nothing is bed in that. You will earn experience on those years while others will study. So your value will be more where both are treated equally. And those who can study and prepare for competitive exams like IES, PSUs, IAS they can opt a job and can prepare with that. But if you are confident enough about it that you can easily clear the exams mentioned above, you can drop one year too for preparation.
If you are in the second and third year of engineering then here is an advice for you. Never waste your time, learn as much as you can. Learn software and languages if you are interested in doing job after your engineering. Participate in fests and functions in college as much as you can. Gain experience and always be in touch with your seniors.
The most important thing is that you should calculate your pros and cons. And check that, for which section you are made for. Hope this will help those students who are planning for their future.
After engineering, a student may also have the following options -
1. Getting some Expertise or Certification - Diploma Courses: A diploma course is another option that will be available for B.Tech graduates. Courses like embedded technology, robotics, ethical hacking, protocol testing, machine designing are some of the specialized courses.
2. If you are interested in a government job with a secure future, then you can start preparing for civil services examinations. You will have to face stiff competition ahead but preparing with a hard-working mindset can lead to success. Or, if interested, you can also opt for the defence services.
