How to take care of your skin, eyes and legs in summer

Taking care of your skin in the summer season is not easy. It is the most difficult type for those having an oily kind of skin. Often a layer of dirt coats the skin. This gives rise to pimples and acne and causes problems. In this article I will talk about how to take care of your skin, eyes and legs during summer season.

Taking care of your skin

There are a certain things one has to do to take care one's skin in summer. No matter what skin type you have, cleaning the skin is important. If your skin is oily, you should clean it with a cleansing milk which doesn't contain oil. One can mix lemon juice and cucumber juice and apply it on the skin. It is an excellent cleanser. If your skin is dry, mix gram flour(besan) with milk and rub it on your skin for cleaning it. If your skin is normal, you may use any ordinary cleansing milk. Also drink 7 glasses of water daily. Drink cols liquids and lime juice. Many people get sun burn from going out in the sun and get black spots on their faces. Such people should apply a screen lotion on their skin after cleansing it before going out in the sun. Also use sun glasses and umbrella. People tend to sweat a lot in summer. Such people should add rosewater to their bathing water. This will reduce the smell of sweat. Dab powder to places where you tend to sweat the most.

Some household tips

  • Those who have oily skins can mix fuller's earth(multani mitti)with an egg white, some lime juice and rosewater and apply the paste on their face and leave it to dry for 15 minutes. Subsquently Wash it off.

  • Add some chandan powder to rosewater and make a paste out of it. Apply the paste to your face before sleeping and wash it off the next day. See the results after washing it off.

  • For dry skin mix fuller's earth(multanni mitti), yellow portion of an egg, spoonful of honey, spoonful of olive oil and apply it on your face. Let the paste dry on your skin for some 15 minutes. Subsequently, wash it off.

  • If you have a normal skin mix fuller's earth(multanni mitti)with an egg (without egg shell) and apply the paste on your face. Wash off after a few minutes.

  • Leg care tips during summer

    Leg and feet care is important during summer as the legs and feet tend to get tired supporting the weight of the whole body. When you come back after a hard day's work, immerse your feet in a tub of luke warm water added with salt. After 10 minutes rub off with a puming stone and brush. Add some moisturizer after that and see the rest and relaxation that your feet and legs do get.

    Eye care during summer

    Intense summer tends to make your eyes tired. Take a few rose petals, add them in a bowl of lukewarm water and leave overnight in your fridge. Next day dab a cotton ball in that water and place it in your eyes when tired. Your eyes will get a refreshing feeling. One can also rub one's face with a mixture of lemon extract and honey for a refreshing feeling to the face.
