The changing trends of students and teachers
The trends of teaching has changed drastically. During the yesteryears, the students were treated very strictly and today the teachers are treated strictly. But, both of them should realize their role and play their role effectively. Both of them should be laid with moderate terms and conditions.
Students and punishment during yesteryears
During the yesteryears, the students were severely punished for any mistakes committed by them. They were badly flogged with a cane even if they were not able to properly learn a lesson. They were flogged even when they were not able to solve maths problems correctly. Earlier students were scared of their teachers and thought them as ghosts. The teachers had each and every right upon the students. No parents ever complained about the teachers about their strict terms and conditions. In those days the teachers thought that it was their utmost duty to build knowledge in the child and correct each and every flaw of the child. But sometimes the children were flogged very badly and the hands or legs swelled. But yet the parents did not complain about the teachers because they thought that they were like God who destroys the weakness. Students and teachers today
The trends in teaching have changed drastically. Today the profession of teaching has been commercialized. The parents themselves lay down very strict conditions upon the teachers. The teachers literally do not have the right to flog the children under any conditions. The trends are changing gradually and the teachers do not even have the right to vocally abuse the children. The parents on the contrary pressurize the teachers to teach the children in a particular way. Today the teachers are under immense pressure. If the students are behaving badly or are not securing good marks, then the teachers are blamed. They secure bad remarks as a teacher. Today the teachers are strictly evaluated by the principal and other authorities of the school. The principal strictly tells them that they should handle the children very tenderly and warmly even if they are ill-behaved. If the children are ill-behaved, then the teacher becomes liable to correct the child. The students, hence have a lot of freedom today and school life is no more a strict institution. Ideal terms for children and teachers
We should preferably borrow strong points from the trends of yesteryears and today. We have been able to successfully eliminate the over-strict conditions upon the students but yet we are not able to inculcate a sense of discipline among students. The students should not be scared or uncomfortable to attend the schools but yet the students should not treat school like a fun-filled place. Equal rights should be conferred to children and teachers both. The students should also realize the value of teaching and the teachers should also understand their role properly. The students should ultimately and effectively learn the lessons taught by teachers. The teachers should finally teach the students in the best possible manner so that the students are molded properly and they really learn something valuable. The schools should moderately and reasonably maintain strict terms and conditions for students and teachers both. The students and teachers both should play and realize their role in an effective way.
You rightly said that there has been a drastic change in the role of teachers and students over the years. Our education system needs to strike a balance between the two.
Through this comment, I want to point out that there are two mistakes in the third paragraph- 'teachers and the students today'. Please, rectify the errors.
