Hansraj College has run following courses in their College like B.A. Honours with Economics, B.A. Honours with English, B.A. Honours with Hindi, B.A. Honours with History, B.A. Honours with Hindi, B.A. Honours with Mathematics and B.A. Honours with Sanskrit. So far they don't have any Common Admission Test Exam requirement for B.A. Honours English admission. This admission in English Honours is given on the basis of class XII marks. The next course in the Hansraj College is B.A. Programme. They have further courses like B.Com. Honours and B.Sc. Honours. The B.Sc Honours can be done with Anthropology. The University of Delhi teaches the main papers in their department of Anthrology for the students of B.Sc Honours with Anthropology. After publication of first list, the list remains valid for 3 days and those students who want to take admission from the list can admitted to the college. The admission is done on serially according to those whose name appears as per their merit. Students need to fill up the college admission form along with original certificates and attested photo copies of certificate.
They further needed to pay the stipulated fee in cash or in Demand draft at the bank in college. The candidate's original certificates will be returned to him during the payment of admission fee. The fees amount is generally notified with the publication of the schedule for the admission. The merit list student, if interested to take admission needed to buy the new college Prospectus.
The college administration normally makes Prospectus available every year in the first week of June with admission form inside. One needs to buy extra Prospectus if he is applying for more than one course. Physical presence of candidate is a must for admission and admission without presence is strictly not allowed along with presence of one of their parents or legal guardian who can sign as a guardian. Hansraj College has Hostel facility available for boys only. Once the student admitted through 1st and 2nd Merit list then they start the Hostel admission process. This process usually starts in the June towards the end of the month. The college authorities declare the 2nd Admission list as per the Merit of the student according to the schedule mention in its initial notification. After that they declare the 3rd & subsequent Admission list, if the desired numbers of seats are not filled through first and second list as per the Merit of the student according to the schedule mention in its initial notification. M.A., M.Com. and M.Sc. courses required direct application from Candidate seeking admission, to faculty in the University of Delhi. List of top candidates according to their merit will be published by the University of Delhi which is the basis for admission along with entrance test as most admission are done through tests. Candidates are advised to be regularly take update for the entrance test schedule and list of candidates from their applied faculty or department or website of DU.
The candidate will be issued an admission slip after successfully passing the qualifying test. The admission slip will mention the college and candidate need to admit there. The student only enrolled in colleges but their classes will be held in respective university departments. The schedule for admission for this courses is generally published in May or June by the only University every year.
Admission cancellation: Admitted candidate can seek for cancellation of their admission if they required. The time for refund of fees to students who seek Admission cancellation is generally takes a 10 to 15 days and thorough crossed cheque in their name.
Admission for migrating student in 2nd years semesters III & IV & 3rd year's semester V & VI Courses : Migrating students is allowed in 2nd year and 3rd year if their is some vacant seats after regular admission. The migration is allowed after 1st year or after 2nd year if admission committee find it suitable after recommendation from related departments. German & French languages certificates, diploma and advanced diploma courses are run by the college. These courses are taught on part-time basis by a visiting guest faculty, who is recommended by the Department of Modern European Languages, University of Delhi. After the regular admissions are closed for new academic session in June last or July first the notification of admission in Foreign language courses is announced. The notification is posted on college notice board as well as their website. Candidate has to be qualified XII from Central board or state board or equivalent recognized, who are seeking the admission in first year of undergraduate courses. They must secure the qualifying minimum marks as specified by the examination boards norms.
Regular courses can be pursued by anyone seeking further studies but in professional courses their are some minimum age bar as described by the AICTE or MCI.
The candidates seeking admission in Under Graduate courses from various Boards or Universities recognized or University Grants Commission or accredited by the Association of Indian University are all treated same if the course duration is same as Delhi University.
The candidate seeking under graduate courses from various Senior School Certificate of different Boards recognized or Central Board of Secondary Education, will be treated equal to Senior School Certificate of Central Board to mark their eligibility. Their are further updates about students from foreign board and University as per the Equivalence Committee about their equivalence to DU certificates. If the candidate still did not fall in the list approved, then the matter will be judged by the University on his merit basis.
Reservation: Hansraj College has previlages for Sports & ECA and candidates need to provide the relevant certificates with special forms with their level of excellence. They can be tested on the field or performance wise. The reservation for Schedule caste or Schedule Tribe or Physically challenged or ex-Servicemen's children is exist as per government of India norms.
