Christmas and Santa Claus

In this article my seven years old son has expressed his thoughts on Christmas and Santa Claus. He relates Christmas and Santa Claus with his daily experiences and observations. His thoughts and imagination knows no limits. He has beautifully expressed what he would do if he were the Santa Claus for a day. A Christmas card which he specially made for his class teacher to wish her 'Merry Christmas' is attached along with.

My Santa.

Christmas is a time of holidaying and fun. My teacher told me that during Christmas Santa Claus comes to our home with bag full of sweets and toys. I don't know if he really comes or not. May be he comes to only those houses that have a Christmas tree and hanging socks for the gifts. I asked my mommy to have a Christmas tree at home too so that Santa will know that I am waiting for him. I also told mommy that if he ask for any choices then tell him I want Ben 10 watch or may be a Doremon gadget will do.

I do not like mustaches as it tickles me when papa kisses me so I made Santa without a mustache. Mommy told me he looks incomplete this way but I said he is my Santa and as I do not have a mustache so he too does not have it. I will tell my friends that he has left it at North pole and will paste it back when he returns home. I wonder, if he lives on North pole wouldn't he feel hot in here? We do not have snow fall here, so how would he come here? How would his sleigh and reindeers be able to walk to my home? I think he might be using something else to get in here; may be some modern gadget like 'anywhere door' from Doremon. When he comes here I will definitely ask him about it.

If I were Santa, I will be distributing sweets, toffees and toys to children all through out the year and I will not live on the North pole as I do not want to leave my family. I will make a new home in here called 'Santa's home' where every child can come at any time to have chocolates, sweets and gifts from me. I will also give gifts to elders.

Merry Christmas to all.

Dhruv,
It is wonderful to note that you have expressed your views so honestly and stubbornly stuck to it, no matter that Santa does have a mustache in traditional images of him!

I also loved your original query about how Santa could travel in the heat & with no snow. It was also thoughtful of you to consider elders too for gifts and not just children.

This is how children should really be: their own self, without coaching from family members & without standard ideas about everything. In today's modern scenario, where everything is simply taken from the Net, it is heart-warming to see a young lad with his own frank thoughts.
