What is acne
Acne is a very common problem in young people especially among the teenage group 15 years to 25 years. During this ages there are Hormonal Changes (increase if testosterones) excess oil is produced and this excess oil clogs up the pores on your face skin. On the accumulated oils, clogging the skin pores, bacterial action starts which causes inflammation. White heads are created first. If the body's immune system fights back the bacterial process leading to inflammation one gets rid of pimples temporarily and in dried condition such pores get converted to black heads. But this process of excessive oil production due to hormonal changes goes on in the skin as sebaceous glands has tendency to produce more and more oil leading to whiteheads, blackheads, pimples synonym to acne. Acne affects both male and female young people undergoing hormonal change.Causes of acne – Can it be prevented
Production of oil in normal volume is considered healthy for the skin. This oil, called sebum in produced by sebaceous glands. But the production of this oil goes out of control due to hormonal changes and excessive oil starts accumulating in skin pores and blocks the pores completely, causing pimples to appear. In males or females, acne start appearing on the facial skin immediately after puberty or menstrual cycles sets in leading to hormonal changes. Skin tight clothes in which sweating does not evaporate easily and environmental change that is hot weather with humid condition also helps acne to appear on the skin. It is a myth that washing only the affected area of the skin helps in removing acne. In respect of facial skin, wash your entire face instead of affected area as it is a misconception that acne will spread to the whole facial skin. Rather not washing the entire face may aggravate the acne problem. Excessive and low quality make ups, use of oily face creams and pollution also works as clogging medium for the pores to get blocked. As such oil free cleansing is considered the best solution for prevention of acne. One must seek the advice of a good dermatologist for better management of acne, white heads, black heads and pimples as it can eclipse your beauty. How do pimples get converted to full blown up acne
When the sebum (oil) gets collected in the skin pore then the dead skin cells along with hair completely plug the skin pore with the help of accumulated oil. Bacteria start growing in the plugged pore leading to inflammation and swelling. Pimples start appearing when the plug breaks down. Pimples can be of many types like Whiteheads, Pinheads also called papules and Black Heads – which are common among the youth. Older women have higher tendency of getting inflammatory bumps and scars on their facial skin. While whiteheads are pimples which remain deep under the surface of the skin, blackheads rise above the surface to look like black miniature spots – visible to naked eye and more prominent under lenses. Small bumps in pink colour with tenderness are called pinheads called papules. All these are called acne and mild to moderate acne can be taken care of with simple skin care strategy. However an expert advice of a dermatologist is always recommended so that the problem does not get flared up. Cystic acne or boils, affecting deeper skin tissues, can appear on buttocks, groin, and armpit area, and anywhere else where sweat collects in hair follicles and perspiration ducts on the body. What to do when Pimples, Black heads and Acne start appearing
First of all I would like to thank the author as he has well described the cause of pimples.
Now I want to add some points, the teen (16-20) year girls get too much worried about their pimples. This is not a disease, most of the time you are yourself responsible for your pimples. To avoid pimples at this age, follow some basic rules. First of all keep your blood clean, avoid taking tobacco, drinking alcohol or smoking. Drink lots of water as it helps to remove toxin from your body and helps to keep clean your blood. Add fruit juices or lemon water so that you can have clean stools every day without any constipation problem. This is the inner problem, now coming to the cleaning of your face: Avoid dust and dirt; whenever you are moving outside, use sun screen lotion, wear a helmet when riding a two-wheeler & on returning to the home wash your face with a good face wash (avoid using soap as it reduces your natural oil from your face). Weekly once wash your face with a little warm water, adde some lemon juice in that to remove extra oil and it works as an antibiotic to prevent being infected from any kind of bacteria.
