About Haryana Space Applications Centre at Hisar

Haryana Space Applications Centre, shortly HSRSAC is an institute under Dept of Science and Technology under Haryana Government. HSRSAC is a nodal agency for Geo Informatics activities in the state of Haryana. The agency works in collaboration with Guru jambeswar University of Science and Technology(GJU-S &T), Hisar. Further, Guru Jambeswar University is an A grade university accredited by UGC in India.

HSRRAC has started this M.Sc Geo Informatics course recently. The M.Tech Geoinformatics in HRSAC is a full time course, having four semesters. The duration of the course is Two years. The course is approved duly by All India Council of Technical University(AICTE).

The HSRSAC has good infrastructure, modern classroom facilities along with curriculum that is at per best National institutes. Students in the IV semester has to do 6 month long project and this can be done in HSRSAC or at any other leading national universities/institute or organization.

Eligibility criteria for admission

Students having an M.Sc degree in certain disciplines can apply for admission into M.Tech Geo Informatics.
These disciplines are M.Sc in Earth Science, Environmental Science, Agro Mateorology, Agronomy, Soil, Physics, Geo Physics, Applied Geology, Mathematics, Remote Sensing, Computer Sciences, IT, Software, Geology, Oceonography, Urban and Regional Planning, Geogrpahy(MA/M.Sc).

MCA / BE./B.Tech in Civil / I.T./Electronics and Communication/Computer /Mechanical Engineering/ Elctronic and Electrical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering.

Student must have obtained at least 55% marks in last qualifying examination. SC or ST candidates from Haryana can apply with 50% marks in last qualifying examination.

Admission related important notes and dates

The admission into M.Tech Geo Informatics course will be done through Deenabandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology. The Univeristy website has provided the details of admission process of this course. Application forms for M.Tech Geo Informatics can be downloaded from Deenabandhu Chhitu Ram University of Science and Technology which is the official partner of the Geo Informatics course offered by HSRSAC. Application form can collected/downloaded between 10-05-2013 to 07-05-13.

Admissions for any M.E / M.Tech programmes of any participating State universities including HSRSAC and their affiliated colleges / institutions will be made through centralized counseling only, conducted by DCRUST, Murthal based on GATE Score / HCPET-2013 Merit. Counselling for M.Tech Geo Informatics starts from 21-06-2013 onwards.

  1. Last date of submission of application form is 07-06-13 till 5 PM.

  2. Admit cards are available from 10-06-2013.

  3. Date of Entrance test for M.Tech Geoinformatics admission at HSRSAC is 15-06-13 to 17-06-13.

  4. Date for result declaration is 19-06-2013.

  5. Last date for M.Tech admission as per AICTE notification is 31-06-2013.
