Admission in full time B. E. Courses


The institute is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission in full time B. E. Courses. The candidates should have been declared for Central counseling by the CBSE. They should be placed in the merit or rank list prepared by CBSE in JEE (Main)-2013 and should get normalized score in class 12 or other such qualifying examination.
There will be reservation of 85% seats for students of Delhi region. Remaining 15% seats are reserved for students outside Delhi region. They too have to pass the qualifying examination from the recognized Board or institute or school located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Admission process


There is only online registration process for the candidates. Candidates can see all the details in the official website of the institute www.nsit.nic.in. The candidates have to deposit a one- time non-refundable processing fees of Rs 1000 compulsorily from 10th June, 2013 so that they get access to the online registration process. The fee should be deposited in any branch of Andhra Bank through a duly filled challan form which will be available at the institute's website.

From 12th June, 2013, online registration and filling up of choices will begin.

After filling the first registration form where a candidate has to fill the details of the qualifying examination, he/she has to fill another registration form which includes the details of personal information of the candidate and he/she will get a computer generated user ID and password. The candidate has to take a print out of this registration form and has to attest it by a gazette officer or by the Principal of school or college last attended to produce at the time of admission.

In filling up of choices, the candidates will get a list of branches to choose the branches of their own choice.

Documents required


Along with the above mentioned documents, the candidates have to bring the following documents for admission:

  1. Two passport size photographs of the candidate attested by a gazette officer or by the principal of the school or college he/she has last attended.

  2. Candidate has to bring a Demand Draft or a pay order in favor of Director, NSIT, New Delhi, payable at Delhi for payment of the fee.

  3. The original copy of admit card and rank card of JEE main, which should be attested and it is not applicable to the nominees of Govt. of India.

  4. The original and attested copies of mark-sheet, pass certificate and high school passing certificate as a proof of date of birth.

  5. The candidates from reserved category should bring the original and attested copy of their caste or category certificate.

  6. Except the physically challenged candidates, all other candidates have to submit the original and attested copy of Medical fitness certificate.

  7. The physically challenged candidates have to bring the original medical certificate issued by a duly notified medical board of a District or government hospital which was set up to examine such candidates under the provision of the act, Persons with disability (equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation) Act, 1995. The certificate should include the extent of disability and a photograph of the candidate concerned by one of the doctors examining him.
