Introduction
We know the toys are used for playing by the kids. Here we are going to use the GPS toy kit for tracking a stolen or a missed object which will make the investigation process easier. We are going to separate the process by three modules namely the Tracing module, Toy kit module, and Jamming module. Tracing module consist of Monitor with maps used to trace the toy where it moving with our valuable things and the Toy Kit consists of GPS(Global Positioning System) and GSM (Global System Of Mobile) and that also connect with Google maps.Working of GPS Toy Kit
Fix the toy kit with the object you want to protect. If the object is theft by someone then the toy kit fixed to the thing will send information to the monitoring unit. The time and place details are also captured in that unit. The details are also get through the GSM from the Toy kit and the details may also received by the owner or investigators mobile phone as a message.
In advance the technology may use smart phones to capture video or images and it is possible to send to the image through GSM signals. In future the technology may be used in advance with innovative ideas of Engineering.
In this process the Toy Kit act as a sender and Monitoring Unit act as a receiver. Both the sides should consist of GPS. The toy kit side GPS consists of Automatic clock that sends the automatic timing of the video captured in the smart phones that placed in the Toy kit. The data are sending to the 24 satellites revolving around the Earth.
The GPS receiver in the Monitoring unit receives the information from the satellite. The satellite which is nearer to the location of the things will trace the information. The satellite is placed in the space in orbit at about 3.74 times the radius of the Earth. There are 27 satellites around the earth among them 24 is in working and 3 of them are failed.
If you want to send the information to user mobile the GSM technology plays its role here. In Toy kit side it consists of a SIM that sends the latitude and longitude position of the things. By using EEPROM we have to code the kit to send the message for second's duration. The SIM card may be 2G or 3G and 800mAh Li-ion battery should be used. If we want to fix the toy kit to send video through GSM the developer have to use 3G SIM card. We can fix the sound tracker also in this system. In the receiving side mobile should also be in GSM communication mode then it is easy for the toy kit to send message to the owner or investigator.
Nowadays the technology is used by the user in reverse way. They fix the Toy kit in home and the owner of the house track the safety of the house while in travelling or in abroad.
The Engineers can add their advance innovative to this technology to make this more useful.Cost of the Project
The cost of doing this project as a demo will cost from Rs 8,000 to 10,000 only. The students can gain their knowledge about the GPS satellites and communication while doing this project in the practical.Conclusion
