About Arya Vidyapeeth College
Arya Vidyapeeth College, a pioneer institution of higher studies of the north-eastern region, was established on 29th July of the year 1958. The institution is located at Gopinath Nagar, Guwahati. Arya Vidyapeeth College offers under-graduate courses in various discipline and post-graduate course in the subject Mathematics which are affiliated to Gauhati University. The University Grants Commission (UGC) awarded the Arya Vidyapeeth College as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE). The college is equipped with all the modern infrastructures, library and experienced faculties. Recently, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has offered a grants to the college for the more development of infrastructures of the college. In its fifty five years of glorious contribution, the Arya Vidyapeeth College has played a key role in the academic development of the entire north-eastern region. Number of Seats : 30
Eligibility : Candidates must be graduate with mathematics as his/her major subjects from a institution recognized by UGC.
Selection Procedure : Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in their qualifying examination.
Reservation : Seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to reserved category as per government rules. Five seats will be reserved for extra-curricular activity quota. Candidates having proficiency in extra-curricular activity at least at the state level can apply through these quota. How to Apply
Admission form can be obtained from the College office on payment of Rs. 120/- by cash from 10th July, 2013 onwards between 11 am and 4 pm. Admission form can also be downloaded from the college's website at http://www.aryavidyapeethcollege.org
