Recipes for dahi egg or egg paturi

Then you may try two easy but delicious dishes of egg named dahi egg and egg paturi which will be the best substitutes to change your taste. Are you now getting upset thinking how to cook those? Do not worry, I will help you to rescue with my recipes of dahi egg and egg paturi.

Sometimes we get bored for our monotonous food habit and accordingly should change our daily dishes at intervals. But whenever we change our dishes, we should take care whether it is able to maintain our healthy food habit. And from that point of view, we can easily replace any egg dish with fish or chicken or mutton to change our common taste.

Here are the recipes of dahi egg and egg paturi which can be prepared very easily and in a short period of time to delight you family member.

Recipes of dahi egg

Ingradient:

  • Boiled egg – 5 pieces
  • Yogurt – 200 gm
  • Smashed cinnamon and cardamom – 25 gm
  • Ghee – 3 tablespoons
  • Raisin – 10 gm
  • Onion – 2 pieces (medium size)
  • Chopped ginger – 2 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Chopped green chili – 5 pieces
  • Bay leaves – 2 numbers
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Water – as per requirement

Procedure:

At first soak all raisins in water and make a paste of onion and garlic together. Keep all boiled eggs in a pot after peeling their shell off. Take yogurt in another pot and add a small amount of salt in to it. Now beat up it gently. Put a pan on to gas oven to heat ghee. When it is heated, add smashed cinnamon, cardamom and bay leaves in ghee. Then pour beat-up yogurt into the pan. Add paste of onion and garlic, chopped gingers, green chilies and salt as per your taste with it. Now stir it gently with a ladle on medium flame so that all spices mix with beat-up yogurt very well. When it is mixed well, add all eggs and then pour water as per requirement. Add all soaked raisins in it. Cover the pan with a lid and allow it to boil for around ten minutes. After ten minutes, check whether the quality of gravy is as per your choice. To make drier, allow it to boil further. When the gravy is ready, put out the burner.

Dahi egg is ready to serve now with roti or paratha.

Recipes of egg paturi

Ingradient:

  • Boiled egg – 5 pieces
  • Mustard paste – 50 gm
  • Poppy seed paste – 75 gm
  • Onion paste – 4 to 5 pieces (Small)
  • Chopped green chili – 4 numbers
  • Chopped tomato – 2 numbers (Medium)
  • Yogurt – a little bit
  • Milk – a little bit
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Mustard oil – 200 ml

Procedure:

Peel off shells of boiled eggs and keep in a big pot dividing each of them into two pieces vertically. Take a pan or kadai and pour 150 ml of oil in it. Heat oil and when it is heated, add onion paste, mustard paste, poppy seed paste and green chili. Stir gently on low flame until oil comes out from the mixture. Add little amount of milk and yogurt with it. Mix the mixture with milk and yogurt. When it is mixed well, add chopped tomato, rest of mustard oil and salt as per your taste. Put out the gas oven after stirring a little and bring down the pan. Then pour entire cooked mixture on the eggs and take care whether the mixture is well smeared with each piece of eggs.

Egg paturi is ready to serve now.
