NIELIT Admissions 2014 into Industrial Automation Training Courses

NIELIT, Calicut has announced admissions into industrial automation training programs - PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design and Advanced Diploma - PLC/SCADA/DCS Engineer courses. For application details go through this article.

Admissions 2014


National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Calicut has announced admissions into following two training programmes in industrial automation.
  • PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design - 24 Weeks Course ( 50 seats )
  • Advanced Diploma - PLC/SCADA/DCS Engineer - 16 Weeks Course ( 20 seats )

Admissions are also open into Post Graduate Diploma courses in VLSI & Embedded Hardware Design, ASIC Design and Verification and Real-Time Embedded Systems in NIELIT, Calicut.

Course Details


PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design is a 24 weeks course which is aimed at making candidate a qualified designer of industrial automation systems and this course also includes an industrial oriented project work. PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design is a 16 weeks course. The main objective of this course is to train candidates on programming, configuring & operating of industrial automation systems.

Fee Details


  • Total Fee for PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System Design course is Rs. 80,000/- (For SC, ST candidates total fee is Rs. 3120/-)
  • Total Fee for Advanced Diploma - PLC/SCADA/DCS Engineer course is Rs. 40,000/- (For SC, ST candidates total fee is Rs. 1410/-)

Eligibility Criteria


PG Diploma in Industrial Automation System


  • B.Tech/ B.E in EE/ Instrumentation Engineering/ EEE/ Chemical Engineering/ I&C Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Computer Science Engineering/ Mechatronics.
  • Final year students are also eligible to apply. But, those students have to submit the course completion certificate and all mark lists including final year exam at the time of counselling or admission.

Advanced Diploma - PLC/SCADA/DCS Engineer


  • B.Tech/ B.E in Electrical Engineering/ Industrial electronic Engineering/ Instrumentation/ AE & I Engineering/ Chemical/ I&C Engineering/ ECE/ Mechatronics. (or)
  • Diploma/M.Sc in Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Industrial electronics.

Selection Criteria


Selection of candidates will be based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying degree. List of selected candidates will be displayed on the website and those candidates have to attend counselling on the date mentioned along with the certificates mentioned below.
  • Copies and original certificates of Age proof, qualification etc.
  • 2 copies of photograph and 1 stamp size photograph.
  • SC, ST, income certificates. ( if applicable )

Application Process


Online Application Mode


Interested candidates can apply online through website: http://calicut.nielit.in. Candidates have to first obtain the demand draft of Rs. 1000/- towards advance deposit and then have to fill up the online application form.

Offline Application Mode


Candidates have to download application form from below website.

Candidates have to send filled in application forms along with the demand draft of Rs. 1000/- which is drawn in favour of "The Director, NIELIT Calicut" payable at SBI, NITC, Chathamangalam to the below address. The name of the course should be mentioned on the top of the cover.
