Recipes of Two Sweets using Bread

You need to spend just a few minutes in front of your stove to make this happen. Here you have the recipes to make two superb sweets using a few slices of bread.

Bread halwa


Ingredients


  • Bread pieces-50 grams

  • Ghee-20 grams

  • Butter-2 table spoons

  • Milk-25 milliliter

  • Sugar-100 grams

  • Crushed Cardamom-half spoon

  • Cashew nut-as per your taste

  • Vanilla essence-1 drop


Steps of preparation


  1. Heat a saucepan and put some ghee and butter into it.

  2. Continue heating until the ghee and butter are melted.

  3. Add bread pieces into the melted ghee and butter and saute them well.

  4. When bread pieces turn brown, add milk and sugar to it.

  5. Stir it well until the mixture turns thick (like the shape of halwa).

  6. Add cashew nut, crushed cardamom and vanilla essence before turning off the stove.

  7. Then, remove it from the heat and keep it aside to get the halwa set.

That is it. Delicious bread halwa is ready. This bread halwa can be served hot or cold as per your taste.

Bread gulab jamun


Ingredients


  • Bread-7 slices

  • Milk powder–2 table spoon

  • Milk-half a cup

  • Rose essence-1 drop

  • Oil or ghee to fry

  • Sugar-half cup

  • Water-half cup

  • Cardamom-2


Steps of preparation


  1. Trim edges of all bread slices and keep it aside.

  2. Mix sugar and cardamom with water in a bowl and heat it until the sugar dissolves completely and starts turning sticky.

  3. Then, add rose essence to it and set aside.

  4. Dip bread slices in milk and transfer it into a mixer after squeezing out the excess milk.

  5. Add two teaspoons of milk powder into it and grind it until it becomes a smooth paste.

  6. Transfer this paste into a bowl.

  7. Pinch a small ball from the paste and roll it very smoothly.

  8. When the balls are ready, put some oil or ghee in a pan and heat it.

  9. Drop the ball to the hot oil and fry it in low flame until it turns to a golden brown color.

  10. Drop these golden brown balls into sugar syrup which we have already made and allow it to get absorbed.

Now, you have delightful bread gulab jamun in front of you. Whether to serve it warm or chilled depends on your taste.
