Rabindra Bharati University started its journey in 1962 to mark centenary birth celebration of Rabindranath Tagore. The university was located at Jorasanko, the ancestral house of Rabindranath. Later another campus of the university started at B.T. Road. The university is known for its Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Liberal Arts. The short-term and professional courses mentioned by the author in the present article are of comparatively recent origin.
Out of these courses, without any iota of doubt, Master of Social Work has become most popular because of course content and employment opportunities. The other short-term and professional courses are gradually becoming popular.
