In the present era, banking is the backbone of a financial body of any country. First of all, I shall like to present a possible list of all reasons for which you could be unsatisfied from your bank branch. The reason can be any of the following:
  • Staff speaks rudely.

  • Personnel does not provide you right guidance.

  • You had sufficient balance in your account but the cheque is dishonored for the reason of 'Insufficient funds'.

  • There is an undue delay or rejection of loan approval.

If you don't know how to write a letter, then here I am providing sample letter formats which you can follow to report your grievance.

Here I would like to mention that technically it is not mandatory to be an existing account holder in same bank branch but practically applicant is asked to open an account to comply with KYC norms before considering loan application and for EMI etc. after sanction of loan.

  3. In case of third letter format, be sure that your cheque was dishonored due to an inappropriate/ unauthentic reason

Nowadays, most of the banks have Grievance Redressal Officer at Head/ Branch Office. Customer Grievance Redressal Policy is also laid down by most of the banking institutions. You should enjoy full privilege of your rights and get maximum satisfaction from your banking services.

Thank you Nidhi for your letter writing format. It was really helpful but my problem is with the Branch Manager. She has been delaying my loan application since last 5 months. She is now saying that my loan application will be passed in oral but denying to give sanction letter.

These days, banks accept the letter through their e-mail. Hence no format is desired. Only the subject matter matters much. Anyway, your format will be helpful to many those who don't use e-mail for communication. Letter writing is slowly coming down and e-mail communication is rising up.
