Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI)


Description


  1. This scholarship is offered by University of Adelaide to the international students except candidates from New Zealand for any Master's degree by Research or Doctoral Research degree.

  2. Scholarship covers course tuition fees for two years period of Master's degree by Research and three years period of a Doctoral Research degree, annual living allowance for the specific period of course and abroad student health benefits like Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) Worldcare policy. Candidates will be awarded with OSHC if and only if he/she holds a subclass 574 visa. Candidates' spouse and dependents will also be covered under this policy.

  3. Applicants will be selected by Graduate Scholarships Committee on the basis of academic merit and research potential.

Eligibility criteria


  • Candidates must be completed at least equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree i.e. four years degree including major research project in last year of the degree course. It should be a successful completion.

  • Stupendous academic performance of candidates is one of the most important part of eligibility criteria.

  • Extra curricular achievements are of no use here but candidates must have research potential.

  • International candidates should not possess Research qualification for which one is applying equivalent to degree or higher than that offered by University of Adelaide before.

  • Candidates must meet the criteria of minimum English language requirement. Proof need to be submitted before closing date.

  • All international students other than Australia and New Zealand are eligible for this scholarship.

  • Applicants need to submit application for the admission in University of Adelaide and also they will have to submit application for the ASI Scholarship.

  • Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS)


    Description


    1. The Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS) is awarded by University of Melbourne to the high accomplishing domestic as well as international research students.

    2. Every year 300 scholarships are awarded under this scheme.

    3. It offers funding for two years of Master's degree by Research and three years of Doctoral degree by Research.

    4. MRS funding may differ as per candidates' situation and it depends on various factors such as living allowance, relocation allowance for moving from different parts of Australia to Melbourne, limited paid sick leave, maternity and parenting leave, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and full fee remission for international students.

    5. Academic merit and research potential are main factors considered while selection of candidates for granting scholarships. Other factors such as professional experience and cited publications etc also hold importance while selection.
