Odisha Adarsh Vidyalayas Principal and Teachers 2017 online exam fee and format


Planning to appear for the 2017 OAVS online recruitment tests for Principal and Teachers posts? This article provides details of the format of the online tests for each post.

As mentioned in this article, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) will be recruiting eligible candidates for taking up the posts of Principals and Teachers in their various model schools. The recruitment will be done via online tests. Here you will get details of the text pattern and marking system for 2017.

Exam format

For the post of Principal

You will appear for an objective type paper of 180 marks for a duration of 3 hours.
Part I is a Language Proficiency Test comprising of English (20 marks) and Odia (20 marks).
Part II is a General Awareness and Computer Literacy Text comprising of General knowledge & Contemporary issues (10 marks), Logical Reasoning (10 marks), Computer Literacy (10 marks) and Quantitative Aptitude Test (10 marks).
Part III comprises of 2 parts: The first is an academic one on Child development & pedagogy (10 marks), Perspectives in education & school organization (10 marks) and Teaching methodology (10 marks). The second is on administrative and finance (70 Marks).
Then there will be an interview which has a score of 60 marks.
The final merit list will be on the basis of the total marks, namely of Part II & Part III and interview.

For the post of PET

You will appear for an online test of multiple choice questions in 3 parts for a duration of 200 minutes. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be given for each wrong answer. Part I: English and Odia.
Part II: Current Affairs and Reasoning.
Part III: Subject-related questions. Part II and Part III will be evaluated only if you are successful in Part I.
Interview: 40 marks.
The final merit list will give 70% weightage to Part II & Part III and 30% to interview.



For the post of Art Teacher

You will appear for an online test of multiple choice questions in 3 parts for a duration of 200 minutes. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be given for each wrong answer.
Part I: English and Odia.
Part II: Current Affairs and Reasoning.
Part III: Subject-related questions. Part II and Part III will be evaluated only if you are successful in Part I.
Interview: 20 marks.
A separate performance test will also be given (20 marks).
The final merit list will give 50% weightage to Part II & Part III, 20% to the performance text and 30% to interview.

For the post of Music Teacher

Same as for post of Art Teacher.

For the posts of TGT English, Hindi, Maths, Sanskrit, Science, Odia, Social Studies

You will appear for an online test of multiple choice questions in 2 parts for a duration of 200 minutes. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be given for each wrong answer.
Part I: English and Odia.
Part II: Current Affairs (30 questions), Reasoning (30 questions) & Subject content and methodology (100 questions). Part II will be evaluated only if you are successful in Part I.
Interview: 40 marks.
The final merit list will give 70% weightage to Part II and 30% to interview.

For the post of Computer Teacher

The online test is the same as for the post of TGTs. Part II will be evaluated only if you are successful in Part I.
Interview: 20 marks.
A separate performance test will also be given (20 marks).
The final merit list will give 50% weightage to Part II, 20% to the performance text and 30% to interview.

Application fee

  • For the post of Principal: Rs.1,500/- + Bank Charges and Service Tax (as applicable).

  • All other posts: Rs.1,000/- plus Bank Charges and Service Tax (as applicable).

Mode of payment: Online Fee Payment using Debit Card/Credit Card and Net
