Welham Girls' School is an English medium residential school for girls in Dehradun city of Uttarakhand. It holds a significant rank in the group of best residential schools in India. It was established in 1957 by a foreign lady Miss H. S. Oliphant. This school is currently serving education to around 600 girls in their institute.

Infrastructure

    This is the minimum and maximum age limit must be complied at the time of academic session commencement in the month of April.

  • First step of admission at Welham Girls' School is the registration by submitting application form. This form can be collected at school office. Below things required at the time of registration along with application:
    - Attested duplicate copy of Birth Certificate of girl
    - Registration Fee (refer fee structure for detailed amount of registration fee)
    Last date to apply for registration for classes 6th and 7th is 31st July and for class 11th it is 31st December of previous year of admission.

  • After registration girls have to compulsorily go through Aptitude / Proficiency Assessment which takes place in November or December of previous year of admission. School informs parents of registered girls for admission about the assessment process and centers nearest to the candidates' place in advance.

  • Lastly admission of girls takes place on the basis of availability of seats and results of Aptitude / Proficiency Assessment. For class 11th first board results are considered too. Students admitted into class 11th on the basis of following:
    - Board Examination results
    - Aptitude/Proficiency Assessment
    - Qualification on the Merit List after passed through above two.

  • Transfer certificate and Character certificate from previous school.
