Mumbai Central Railway Revised Suburban Time Table 2016
Central Railway has issued revised sub urban time table for the Harbour line and Trans Harbour line which will be effective from 26 Jan. 16. Here is detailed schedule of Harbour line services and Trans Harbour line services.
Indian Railways has total 16 zonal divisions, namely- Central Railway (CR), East Central Railway (ECR), East Coast Railway (East Coast), Eastern Railway (ER), North Central Railway (NCR), Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR), North Eastern Railway (NER), North Western Railway (NWR), Northern Railway (NR), South Central Railway (SCR), South East Central Railway (SECR), South Eastern Railway (SER), South Western Railway (SWR), Southern Railway (SR), West Central Railway (WCR) and Western Railway (WR). Out of these sixteen zones, Central Railway marks itself as one of the largest railway with its headquarters in Mumbai at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly known as Victoria Terminus).Harbour line and Trans Harbour line
Mumbai Suburban Railway is operated by two zonal divisions- Western Railways (WR) and Central Railways (CR)- wherein Western Line is operated by WR while Central Line, Harbour Line, Trans-Harbour Line and Vasai Road-Diva-Panvel line is operated by CR. Harbour line runs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) to Andheri and Panvel while Trans Harbour line is between Navi Mumbai and Thane running from Thane to Vashi, Nerul and Panvel. The services of Mumbai Suburban Railways are very popular and preferred by local people. Its services consists of slow local (wherein train stops at every station), fast local (wherein train runs at express speed skipping stops until a particular destination arrives and then runs onward from that station like a local train) and fast, superfast, double-fast (wherein train runs like an express for different long routes).
Harbour Line and Trans Harbour Line Revised Schedule
Revised time table is issued from time to time for different lines. Revised schedule for Harbour line and Trans Harbour line with effect from 26 January 2016 is provided here. With the application of this schedule, following additional services will be available to passengers-Additional services on Harbour line
Total Harbour line services are increased from 583 to 590 between following stations at said departure and arrival time-
From Vadala Road at 05:54 AM to Panvel at 06:55 AM
From Vadala Road at 09:39 PM to Panvel at 10:39 PM
From CST Mumbai at 09:57 PM to Belapur at 11:03 PM
From Vashi at 05:02 AM to Vadala Road at 05:32 AM
From Panvel at 08:27 PM to Vadala Road at 09:27 PM
From Belapur at 08:57 PM to CST Mumbai at 11:01 PM

Vashi local leaving CST at 10:08 AM is now extended to Panvel.
Panvel local leaving Vadala Road at 11:43 AM will now start from CST.
Belapur local departing from CST at 01:33 PM is now extended to Panvel.
CST local departing from Belapur at 05:00 AM will now originate from Panvel.
Vadala Road local leaving Belapur at 10:50 AM is now extended to CST station.
CST local leaving from Belapur at 02:49 PM will now leave from Panvel.
Vadala Road local leaving Vashi at 03:25 PM and 05:16 PM will now depart from Panvel.Extension/ Change of Terminals on Trans Harbour line
Thane- Belapur local leaving from Thane at 08:11 PM and 09:19 PM, and Thane- Nerul local leaving from Thane at 11:15 PM is now extended to Panvel.
Belapur-Thane local departing from Belapur at 07:01 AM and 03:16 PM, and Nerul-Thane local leaving Nerul at 11:00 PM will now start from Panvel.
