About UP Board
In 1921 the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education was formed in Allahabad. In 1923 the board took the responsibility from University of Allahabad to conduct High School examination and Intermediate examination which are for the students of 10th and 12th standard respectively.
In addition to the head office in Allahabad, board has another four regional offices in Meerut, Varanasi, Bareilly and Allahabad. Responsibility of the board is not only limited to organize examination but it is responsible to finalize courses, text books etc. at different levels of its education system as well as to verify and allow recognition to the schools who apply for.
