Singapore is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual nation. The nation is officially bilingual as English is combined with any one of the other three mother-tongues (Mandarin, Malay and Tamil). The cost of living in Singapore is high compared to other Asian countries, but not as high as the USA or most of the European countries.On average, an Indian student has to pay around INR 6.5 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh per year for tuition fees although Humanities courses are less expensive. All students are eligible for applying for Tuition Grants with Singaporean Ministry of Education, after having been offered a place on a course. Grants are not repayable, but all international students are required to sign a bond committing them to work for a Singapore-registered company for at least three years on completion of study. Moreover, a student can work during his/her studies limited to 16 hours a week. Students must hold Student Cards for getting jobs as students.

Climatic condition of Singapore

Singapore is located just north of the Equator, and so, it has a tropical climate and the country is hot and humid throughout the year. The average temperature is 31 degree Celsius during the day with negligible variations. It receives an average annual rainfall of 2340 mm. Indian students from most of the regions of India can comfortably adjust with the climate of Singapore.
