How to submit online application for NEET-2016 second phase registration

Overview

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the academic session 2016-17 will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The aim of NEET-2016 is for the 15% All India quota merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court. Rules & regulations for it will be as per those issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Admissions in the medical colleges and dental colleges in various States will also come under NEET if the State Government/University/Institution is a participant of NEET- 2016 for using its merit list for its admissions.

The following is the list of States, institutes/universities which will be participating in NEET-2016 for filling up of MBBS/BDS seats under under the control of DGHS, Govt. of India (other than the States of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana):
  1. Haryana

  5. Arunachal Pradesh

  6. Manipur

  7. Meghalaya

  9. Rajasthan

  10. Chandigarh (UT)

  13. Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (UP)

  14. Hamdard University, New Delhi

Note that if you have already appeared for the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) and for the State Common Entrance Test (CET), then too you can apply for NEET-2016.



Eligibility requirements

  1. You should be an Indian National or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

  2. You must have completed17 years at the time of admission or you will be completing this requisite age on or before 31st December, 2016 of the year of your admission to the first year of the M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course. The upper age is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance exam (see official notification for age relaxation for certain categories of candidates)

  3. You should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually, with a minimum of 50% marks combined in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying exam (40% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward
    Classes, 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH).


Important dates

  1. The online application and registration for the second phased of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2016 will begin on 26th May 2016. It will be mandatory to register for NEET if you are seeming admission to a private or deemed medical institute or dental institute.

  2. Closing date for online registration with payment through e-challan: 21.06.2016 till midnight.

  3. Closing date for online registration with payment through other e-modes: 25.06.2016, till midnight.

  4. Last date for successful final transaction of fee via e-challan and other e-modes: 25.06.2016, till midnight.

  5. NEET 2016 is scheduled for 24th July 2016.


Fee amount and payment modes

The fee is Rs.1400/- for general and OBC category candidates and Rs.750/- for SC/ST and PH candidates. You have the following options to make the requisite payment:
  1. Pay with a Debit/Credit Card using on-line gateway payment facility

  2. Pay via e-Challan by depositing fee in CBSE's Bank Account maintained by Syndicate Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank directly by downloading the e-Challan form from the official website of www.aipmt.nic.in.

  3. Pay through Net Banking.

  4. Pay through e-wallet of Common Service Centre (CSC). The list of CSCs is available at the official website.

How to apply

Make sure that you read all the instructions and guidelines carefully for filling up the NEET-2016 application form before applying online.

  1. You have to register in online mode only at the official website: http://aipmt.nic.in/aipmt/Registration/Instruction.aspx

  2. Note down your registration number.

  3. Pay the requisite fee

  4. Take a print out of the confirmation page.

It is important to provide your own or a parent's mobile number for further communications and intimations from the CBSE board. Note that only one mobile number and one email ID can be used for filing one application only.
