University of Lincoln, UK invites applications for its Academic Excellence Scholarship from Indian students pursuing the full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at the University's Lincoln Business School for the academic session 2016-17.

Five scholarships are available for international students, with up to £5000 being offered under the scholarship scheme.

Who can apply

The scholarship is for self-funded Indian students with a consistently good academic record who will be enrolling for the full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at the Lincoln Business School.

Eligibility requirements

  1. You must have a 1st Class Honours Degree in a related discipline.

  2. For meeting English language requirements, you should have scored either 70% or above in Standard XII
    You should have an IELTS overall score of 6.5 or above with at least 6 in each element.

About the MBA programme

The tuition fees for the program is £14,400, out of which up to £5000 would be covered under the scholarship scheme. There are 2 enrollment cycles for the MBA programme, one in September and one in February.

The primary goal of the MBA programme is to prepare you to take up the role and responsibilities at the senior management level in corporate setup. You will understand how to strategically implement a company's policies in various types of scenarios. You will learn how to evaluate and critically anlayze a problem, considering various options and selecting the best one in tackling that problem. Thus you uniquely creative analytical talent will be developed, giving you the confidence to deal with implementation of projects and assessing problems. Your expertise will be developed by actual case studies and you will be provided with the opportunity to undertake a consultancy project on behalf of an organisation.

Additionally, you will learn the requisite skills to understand the importance of behavioural processes and group dynamics in a corporate set up and knowing the significance of managing change in organisations.


There are 3 types of modules for the MBA programme:
  1. Fundamental modules:
    • Theories and ideas to be studied throughout the programme

  2. Core modules:
    • Business Economics

    • Managerial Finance

    • Marketing and Innovation

    • Managing People

    • Organisational Strategy

    • Research Design and Methods

    • Group Consultancy Project

    • MBA Dissertation project

  3. Elective modules: You can specialize in a field of your specific interest, from the following options:
    • Consumer Behaviour and Retail Marketing Strategy

    • Leadership for Enterprise

    • Logistics and Operations Management

    • Managing in Emerging Markets and International Financial Environment
