What is Pneumonia

Home remedies for treating Pneumonia.

One can follow the below remedies to improve health. These remedies have proved to be working in many cases.

  1. Inhale steam 4 times a day. Boil water in a vessel; add little Vicks or camphor oil to the water. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam.

  2. Garlic:
    Garlic helps fight bacteria as it is a good source of antibiotic. Try chewing raw garlic. If you can chew raw garlic, then dry roast the garlic and chew garlic.

  3. Prepare a Spinach and Carrot juice:
    Mix Carrot juice and Spinach juice and drink the mixture twice a day.

  4. Turmeric:
    Add turmeric to the boiled milk and drink a glass of milk during night.

  5. Ginger:
    Prepare Ginger tea and drink this instead of consuming a normal tea.
    To prepare Ginger tea, add water to grated ginger and bring in to boil. Squeeze lemon into this mixture. Strain the water, add honey and drink it.

  6. Sesame seeds.
    Boil a tbsp. of sesame seeds and a tbsp. of flax seeds in water. Filter the water and add little honey and salt to the water and consume it every day.


  1. Drink as much as water and fresh fruit juice as you can so as to keep yourself hydrated.

  2. Consume more of Vitamin A and Vitamin C.

  3. Wash your hands thoroughly to prevent spreading of germs.

  4. Resting is very important to cure Pneumonia. So rest as much as you can.

  5. One should take a warm shower and should keep themselves warm.

  6. Don'ts

    1. Patients suffering from pneumonia should quit smoking and consuming Alcohol.

    2. Do not take any cough syrup. Cough as much as you can and throw out the mucus. Cough syrup will supress the cough and mucus might get thicker.

    3. Avoid going out in dusty areas and avoid being around people who are sick.

    Note: Please consult the doctor if the health condition does not improve from the above mentioned remedies. The Doctor will prescribe antibiotics to improve the health condition.
