2016 IBPS CRP SPL-VI online applications for Specialist Officers bank jobs recruitment exam

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invites applications from qualified candidates for various Specialist Officers posts in participating organizations. Candidates need to appear for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-VI) for selection. The online exam is tentatively scheduled for January 2017. Note that candidates can apply for only one post and nobody can submit multiple applications.

Specialist Officers posts and eligibility requirements

  1. I.T. Officer (Scale-I):
    Age: 20 to 30 years
    Academic qualification: You must have a 4 year degree in any of the following fields - Engineering/ Technology in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation
    You should have a qualified Post Graduate Degree in any of the following fields - Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications
    You should be a qualified Graduate with DOEACC (Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Course) passed with 'B' level.

  2. Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I):
    Age: 20 to 30 years
    Academic qualification: You should have a Graduate 4 year Degree in any of the following fields - Agriculture/ Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Fishery Science/Pisciculture/ Agri. Marketing & Cooperation/ Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry/Forestry/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Food Science/ Agriculture Business Management/Food Technology/ Dairy Technology/ Agricultural Engineering.

  3. Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I):
    Age: 20 to 30 years
    Academic qualification: You must have a Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and you should be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council.

  4. HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I):
    Age: 20 to 30 years
    Academic qualification: You must be a Graduate with a full time Post Graduate degree or full time Post Graduate diploma in any of the following fields - Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR/ HRD/ Social Work /Labour Law.

  5. Marketing Officer (Scale I) :
    Age: 20 to 30 years
    Academic qualification: You must be a Graduate with a full time MMS (Marketing) / MBA (Marketing) / full time 2 years PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with specialization in Marketing

Note: Refer to official notification to check eligibility of dual specializations.

General skills requirement: Other than for the vacancy of IT Officer Scale I, those applying for the other posts must have a valid Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.


This is a tentative schedule of the application process, payment of fees and online exam:
  1. Online registration (during which you can edit & modify your application): 16th November 2016 to 2nd December 2016

  2. Online payment of application fees: 16th November 2016 to 2nd December 2016

  3. Download of call letter for the exam: after 16th January 2017

  4. Online examination (Tentative dates): 28th January 2017 to 29th January 2017

  5. Declaration of result status of examination (CWE): 16th February 2017

  6. Download of call letters for interview: after 24th February 2017

  7. Conduct of interview: March 2017

  8. Provisional allotment: on or after 1st April 2017

How to apply

You must submit your online application from 16.11.2016 to 02.12.2016. You cannot submit your application in any other mode. Ensure that you have the necessary information to be filled in and the requisite documents ready for uploading before registering. You should also have ready a scanned photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) and signature in keeping with the required specifications.

Steps to apply:
  1. Visit the official website www.ibps.in

  2. On the home page, open the link of "CWE Specialist Officers" and then click on the link "CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CWE- Specialist Officers (CRP-SPL-VI)". This will lead you to the page on the online application form.

  3. Now click on the link "CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION" to begin the registration process.

  4. Once you enter basic information about yourself, a provisional registration number and password will be generated & you will be able to see this on your screen. Note it down for the further steps. You will also receive these via SMS. as well as email. You can thus use them to edit the details you entered if required. However, note that you cannot make any changes once you click the final submit button.

  5. Make the online payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges, which is Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs. 600 /- for all other candidates. This online payment can be done with Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ Master Card/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets as per the options available on your screen. Once you successfully complete the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.

  6. Take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form.

Important notes:
  1. You will need to show & submit the requisite documents such as valid call letter, a photocopy of photo-identity proof bearing the same name as it appears on the online submitted application form etc. at the time of exam and interview respectively.

  2. The Centre, venue address, post applied for, date and time for exam & theinterview will be intimated in the your Call Letter.

  3. You can download you call letter from the IBPS's website on entering the Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. Note that no hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent to you by post/ courier.
