National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India invites online applications for the National Hospitality Teachers Eligibility Test 2017 (NHTET-2017). This test is now mandatory to become eligible to apply for the direct recruitment posts of Assistant Lecturers (AL) and Teaching Associates (TA) in the 68 IHMs (Institutes of Hotel Management) and FCIs (Food Craft Institutes) which function under the aegis of NCHMCT. The NHTET-2017 is schedule to be held on 9th April 2017.

Age criteria
As on 31st March 2017, the age limit is as follows:
Note: On successfully passing the NHTET-2017, you will be allowed to apply against any vacancy of AL and TA (the maximum age is 30 years with relaxation for reserved candidates) for a period of one year, that is, up to 31st March 2018.
Academic qualification and work experience criteria
You must have a full time Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Hotel Management after 10+2 from a recognized university with at least 60% marks. Additionally, you should have a minimum of two years of industry experience post-qualification of the Degree.
OR
You must have a full time Master's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Hotel Management after Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Hotel Management from a recognized university with at least 60% marks either in the Bachelor or Master's Degree qualifying exam.
Note: If you are appearing in the final semester / final year exam of the Master's Degree and have passed all the subjects of the previous year / semester, then too you can apply for NHTET-2017.Application fees
