When we talk about children's magazines we find them in different languages. Many are magazines containing small articles written by elder writers. These articles are meant to convey certain ideas to children through a language suited to the children. Stories and small poems also will be there attracting children.
In Kerala there are two magazines in the local language, Malayalam, which come out with informative articles in simple language. These are published by an organization working for Science popularization in the State. Hence simple science related articles and stories appear in these magazines. These magazines are "Eureka" and "Sastrakeralam". These magazines are circulated among the school students. Naturally, some of the articles will be related to the topics they have to study. Because of this reason Eureka is meant for primary classes and the other for high school classes. Hence the organization publishing takes the help of its workers for propagating these magazines. This organization is surviving with the income from the sales of these magazines and the sales of hundreds of books published by the organization.
There are other magazines in Malayalam published by different news papers, like Mathrubhumi, Malayala manorama, Deshabhimani, etc. Hence in Malayalam language several magazines are being published since years back.
