What to do after 12th class or Intermediate exam is the million dollar question that bothers every students and their parents. Normally children do have some idea as to what they should pursue after Intermediate or 12th, but the way they score marks in each core subject would decide the future course. For example if the student gets good marks in maths, then the choice could be Engineering, and if the student gets good marks in Science, then the choice could be Medicine. But there is some bridge course which can help the student to pursue the Bio-technology stream too. What I suggest is that the student must write all the entrance exams during this period. Those exams like AIIMS, JIPMER, NEET, EAMCET for Telangana and AP and so on. All these common test exams would prove the candidate eligible for certain course and that can be pursued. Nevertheless the college or the school in which the candidate is studying would also give proper guidance so that a qualified candidate won't face the problem of identifying knowledge route map for right career path.

Once the 12th class is finished the path chosen by a candidate will decide the future of his life. So the student should think properly and take the advice of your seniors and parents. Finally, he should decide and zero down on a particular path. In taking this decision one should keep in mind about his talent, likings, financial position and career interest. Basing on all these issues one has to decide and then take the relevant. Some parents feel that my son should be an engineer or my daughter should be a doctor. Nothing wrong in their aspirations. But the person whose is studying feels that he can't do that or he feels there is no interest in that subject there is no point in forcing him. Once you have given a thought and decided to travel in a particular line put in all your efforts and see that you will be successful and reach the destination you set on. If you desire something strongly and start the same with a positive note you will see that your desire is fulfilled. The only question is how strongly you desire.

When a student's 12th standard is completed, he has a big responsibility of choosing his next study path. This decision should be taken with lots and lots of care. One wrong decision can result in spoilage of future. So first important thing to decide about future is to know our interest and once we decide our interest, we should take the advice of those who are in the same field. They will give you best advice. Next important thing is to take care of factors like financial position, listing best colleges etc. If parents want to send their child to another field, the child should try to convince parents about his interest. Start preparing for the entrance exam and give your best. Put your best efforts to achieve your goal. Be confident, have the determination and make your parents proud of you and your decisions.

The crucial decision of selecting a career line, out of so many paths available, after completing class 12 is the challenging thing every student has to face one day. There are so much information and data available on the internet as well as catalogs of leading institutions that a student gets lost in that big ocean of information.

One thing which I consider as of primary importance is the interest and aptitude of the student. We cannot force a person to become a doctor or engineer if he has a passion for some sport where he believes that he can excel. A boy having a passion for teaching and always dreams of becoming a professor one day will not be happy working on the counter of a bank throughout his life. So it is the duty of the parents to find out what is the line where the boy or the girl can perform optimally. Once found we can help him to develop his or her skills and knowledge in that particular area. The job of parents is only to facilitate him and not to force him into a blind zone however prosperous it might be from their viewpoint.
