Short poem on My Daughter, My Bundle of Joy

In this poem I have written about my feelings about my baby daughter. The dream which I had been seeing from months has come to reality. I feel happy, emotional and full of gratitude seeing my bundle of joy.

Until I got you, my gift from above,
I never knew what really is Love

The day i felt your soft touch
I cherished it so much

Those chubby pinkish little cheeks
I was dreaming about you from weeks

Your eyes so beautiful and mischievous
can make any mother envious

My daughter, my love, my bundle of joy,
My princess, my sweetheart, my baby doll toy.

I promise to love you ever and ever
and my love for you can reduce never...never...

I will hold you near my heart when you cry
we will never depart until i die

Whenever the tiny steps you keep
and walk into my heart deep

You kick me with you soft little feet
and with the hands too, you beat

The look you give when i act fake pain
makes me love you all the more again and again

I feel blessed when i hear your giggles and laughter
yes, I am blessed to have you as my daughter

Not everyone is as lucky as me
all do not get a baby girl, you see...

My sweetheart, you will remain in my heart always
As you grow, in every path of your life, may God bless

What a lovely poem dedicated to your daughter and I can understand the bundle of joy and happiness you have gone through while writing this wonderful poem. A girl is the best to adore and cajole. A girl child is the pet of the father and that does not mean that the mother takes less care or won't love her. But the girl child has special attention and affection for the father as evident from my own daughter. Nevertheless going through the childish behaviour of the child, it creates more memories to reckon with as you have cherished some wonderful moments to which you are alone witness and those things were well told in the poem.
