Moderate consumption of eggs (seven eggs per week) prevents the chance of strokes. Not only that,it has been found that people with heart diseases can take two eggs everyday without any negative effect.

For a healthy pregnancy

Consuming eggs during pregnancy definitely helps to prevent birth defects. Egg is nutritionally very rich with vitamins, minerals like folate, choline and selenium, which are necessary for a healthy body. It must be remembered that pregnant women should not eat raw or under-cooked eggs.

Egg has high sulphur content and many vitamins and minerals. So, egg promotes healthy hair and nails in humans.

Egg contains 6.28 grams of protein, which is one of the best food sources of protein. Egg also contains nine essential amino-acids. One egg contains five grams of fat. But out of this five grams, only 1.5 gram is saturated fat which is harmful for human beings. The rest of the fat is healthy mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fats. Moreover, egg is the only food which contains natural vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential for health and immunity.
