Answer key for JEE Mains and procedure to challenge the key

The answer key of JEE Mains 2017 is out. Candidates who are having objections in answer key can challenge here for correction. Also, those who have appeared for pen and paper exam can also challenge here if they have objection.

JEE mains exam was conducted by CBSE on 2nd April 2017. All the candidates who have appeared for this exam were eagerly waiting for the answer key to be declared. The answer key for JEE mains 2017 had been declared on 18th April 2017. Also it has been told that if any candidate is having objection in answer key for recorded response, then he can challenge the answer key by paying certain amount of fee. According to the ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India, it had been promulgated that there is not going to be any weightage of 12th marks in calculating the JEE Mains examination.

The answer key for JEE Mains and procedure to challenge the key answer key of paper 1 exam for the joint entrance exam mains(JEE MAINS) which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education was released on 18th April 2017. In case of any objection in answer keys, candidates can put up the point until 22nd April 2017.

Also those candidates who had appeared in the pen and paper based examination which was conducted on 2nd April can see the scanned images of OMR sheet along with their recorded responses. If any candidate who had given this exam has an objection in the recorded response, if it is different from the ones which he had marked on OMR sheet, then he can also raise the point before 22nd April.

The candidates who have appeared for Computer Based examination have already received the marked responses on their email ID and there is no challenge of Record response to be accepted from their side.

All those candidates who wish to raise the objection are required to pay a fee of Rs. 1000/- per recorded response for question challenged. This payment has to be done by Credit/Debit Card, Paytm or SBI buddy before 22nd April.

How to challenge Answer keys and recorded response JEE MAINS

The following is the process to challenge the answer key of JEE MAINS 2017 online

1. You first need to make sure that the objection which are putting up for challenging should be genuine.

2. Check the answer key properly and record the objections you want to put up together.

3. Make sure that your bank account has sufficient amount of money for paying the challenging fees.

4. Either visit the official page of JEE Mains or directly go to: or

5. Enter your application number, date of birth and security pin in the login page.

6. you can now put up the objection which you desired to and pay the fees for it. If the board finds the objection right, they will refund your money to your bank account.

7. In case you forgot your application number, there is another form which needs to be filled in which you need to provide your name mother's name, father's name, date of birth and state of eligibility.
