How to score good marks in 10th class

Worried about Class 10 Board exams? This article provides tips and suggestions to prepare well and perhaps you may also become a topper.

In the early period of 10th class every students get worried about exam because he/she is appearing 1st time in board exam. If you are also among them, then don't worry. Just read this article till the last word and follow the steps and suggestions, by which you may have also an opportunity to become a topper.

What should you do?

You are a candidate of 10th class and you are now to appear in the board exam for the first time. So, you should read more and in a better way. I am not saying that, you should give 12 hour for reading, but you must have to give at least two hours every day for a good result. Check the syllabus and go to school everyday, and take a tuition on daily basis. Study with such a whom you can understand properly.

You should maintain your discipline on regular basis and read books on a regular basis by which you can read even one whole book in a month. Genearlly, in the month of August when you buy exam guide books, you should remember the first and second questions, read them carefully, understand them, then move on to questions which come later. Try to write answers and maintain time limits for each.

Which books to choose ?

You should read N.C.E.R.T. math book and others books of Bharti Bhawan or other publications which are very good, explaining its content in details. You may ask, why N.C.E.R.T. and not other publication? This is a good question. he answer: N.C.E.R.T. will help you to score much more, because questions are being setup by the board from N.C.E.R.T. books mainly. Read a whole book completely in one month and it will help you a lot at the time of exam.

What should you do in the last month?

Do revise and revise, again revise - and only revise of the things which you have done in a better way. After all of it, if you have time then go through those points which have you had not touched upon. Suggestion: Make a separate notebook for Math formulas. Do practice of Biology's Neuron and Nefron's diagrams too.

Give answers carefully in all your papers. Don't be afraid of the exam. Best of luck.

I won't agree with the author that for scoring 10/10 in SSC board exam, the student has to take to tuition which is not the right recommendation. My daughter can be taken as the best and lively example. She has been the consistent scores of the top rank in every class from nursery and the gene has ensured us to score the same marks even in Tenth class or SSC. Of course, our cooperation and assistance were also there to pep up the mood and teach the lessons in an easy way. What we taught her to study tomorrow lesson today itself and that made her shining in the class as she used to answer all the questions posed by the teachers. Once a child gets a boost in the class and getting a round of applause for every progress, the child also gets interested in studying further and being ahead of her nearest competitor. So with the same spirit, she has also completed her Intermediate and got state Second rank which is really superb and all without any tuition.

Congratulations for having such a great daughter and also you should thank God who gave. Now I'm coming to the point that there are so many students which is not as like your daughter and who have not a guide such as you. I was also a topper in every class till 10th, but when I gave the exam of 10th, I got only 83.8% marks easily(with the help of my good tutor), I might be a topper but I didn't. I mean, I'm not as like your daughter too. If, I had done which is above mentioned in the post, I might be. I never did hard work.
So, by the way, you should know for a common method to be a topper 'or' I would say to score good mark, which has written in the post.

Some more added tips for students in preparation for examination;
Any doubts should be clarified from the teachers. There is no substitute for hard work. Systematic planning and adhering to the plan will make the student achieve best results. Regular revision is very important to reinforce knowledge acquired and for understanding the concepts better. Recalling facts and figures and writing down will help the student to remember them well. Preparing a checklist to learn in priority order to be focused. Organising the content to learn easily should be managed. Practising formulas, diagrams, graphs, from the beginning of the academic year helps the students to recall them accurately. Keywords, scientific terms and terminologies should be well learned to avoid spelling mistakes. Managing time is important to achieve the goal, to avoid stress at the last minute. Procrastinating and laziness will hamper studies. Sample papers should be practised. Presentation of the paper to be neat and legible. Developing a systematic habit of learning and being optimistic will ensure good results.

Do not follow several textbooks or notes and get confused by reading in lots. Study something that is important for examination. First focus upon examination and hence solve previous model question papers. But, you must read your regular text books and understand the concepts well.

First of all every student should study for increasing knowledge than for exams only. Three months is good enough for being a topper. You should know that focusing on exam can harm the prospects of collecting knowledge and that is why I suggested to follow some specific books.

What Swati Sarnobat has said is good but not for all.

The additional tips provided by Jenny are also good and need to be taken note of.

Thank you very much for such responses.
