Kerala higher secondary admission 2017 online centralized application submission to be started today May 8 2017 at 4.00 PM onwards. Candidates who have secured the eligibility to apply for plus one admission in Kerala state can now apply online for taking admission in plus one courses through online registration/ Single window system for higher secondary admission (EKajalakam). Candidates registered through online centralized allotment process HSCAP 2017 are only considered for the admission of plus one for the academic year 2017-2018.

Who can apply for plus one admission through HSCAP 2017 (ekajalakam)?

HSCAP 2017 is a centralized allotment process (ekajalakam) conducted through online for admission to plus one courses in Kerala state. HSCAP means higher secondary centralized allotment process, a single window system for higher secondary admission. Students who have secured pass mark in SSLC (Kerala Syllabus), CBSE 10th, ICSE 10th, THSLC schemes, students who have secured pass mark in equivalent examination by other state board and national board are eligible for apply online for admission in plus one courses in Kerala under department of higher secondary education. All the applicants should have minimum 15 years of age as on 2017 June 1 and they should not exceed 20 years of age. Candidates who passed through Kerala board exam has no minimum age limit. Marks of students passed in old scheme will convert to grade in order to use in HSCAP system.

How to submit application for Kerala plus one admission in 2017

Applicants can submit application for plus one admission in merit seats either by themselves or by the help of teachers of the school where they studied by utilizing school labs, or use any nearby government/ aided school labs through online. After the final submission of the data through online, candidate will not be able to change it again through online. After the final submission of online application applicants are required to take the printout of the final submission. Candidates and their parents are required to sign in the prescribed place and need to submit this finalized printout at any of the aided / government school belongs to the district they are applied for the plus one admission. During the time of submission of verification candidates are required to pay 25 Rs as application fee for plus one admission.

At any cost candidates do not submit more than one application for one revenue district. Candidates want to submit application for more than one district are required to submit separate application for each district. Once submitted in school candidates are provided with acknowledgement slip with the seal and sign of the principal of the respective school, which are need to keep safe until you take permanent admission. Candidates are required to submit the marklists along with the self-attested copies of certificate and papers if they are claiming bonus points. If your mak lists reveal your religion, cast, Panchayath/Municipality/Corporation etc datas, then you no need to apply separate certificate for these. If you want to submit any information that are not in the mark list for claiming bonus you have to submit certificate from the concerned authority with the application.

Admission to Kerala plus one Management/ Un aided/ Community seats

Those students who have qualified as per the requirement of department of higher secondary education to take admission in plus one admission are also eligible for taking admission in management/ un aided/ community seats. Intake of students to these seats are under the control respective school management. Those students want to submit application for management/ unaided / community seats are required to submit separate application for the respective schools they want to join. The application form submitted online for HSCAP process is not considered for the management/ unaided/ community seats. Principals have the responsibility to verify these admission should follow the merit.

Verification of Application submitted by candidates for plus one admission in Kerala

Candidates are responsible to give proper and correct information on their application. Any wrong information might be cause for cancel their allotment. So, keep immense care while submitting application. Those candidates who are giving wrong information will face termination from the HSCAP 2017 allotment process. Candidates can check and verify their submitted information in HSCAP website. To check and verify the submitted online application information of plus one admission candidates are requested to login to the official HSCAP website and click on the view your application link. In order to login to see the information candidates are required to provide their application number and date of birth.

If candidates want to change any information after the final submission of application they need to submit this request to the principal of the school where they have submitted the printout of online application with the proper evidence within the stipulated time and need to ensure these modification has done. Principal will provide the receipt for your request for modification.

What is trial allotment in HSCAP 2017?

A trial allotment will be done and published before the final allotment by department of higher secondary education. Candidates can do the final modification for their option registration during this time. Trial allotment is not the final allotment and candidates are not required to take admission after the trial allotment. There is no guarantee you will get the same seat you got in the trial allotment in your final allotment as there is chance of modification by each candidates after the trail allotment announcement. After the stipulated time announced by the department of higher secondary education, no changes can made by candidates. With the trial allotment of Kerala plus one admission candidates will get an idea of the possibility of the seats they are going to get. Don't be panic if you haven't get seat in trial allotment, there is chance to get seat in final allotment, and if you want you can do any modification for the school or subject combination.

What is final allotment in HSCAP 2017?

In final allotment phase in HSCAP plus one admission 2017, there are two allotment, namely first allotment and second allotment. After the trial allotment first allotment will be published, and candidates are required to take either permanent or temporary admission to the school they are allotted after the first allotment results. Those candidates who want to change the school or combination after the first allotment can take a temporary admission and wait for the second allotment if they have higher options remains. If you got allotment for a higher option, all the lower option will be cancelled. If you are satisfied with the first allotment you have to take permanent admission in that school, otherwise if you got admission to a higher option in the second allotment you will be ought to move on. Candidates who have not got allotment after the first allotment can wait for the second allotment. There will be supplementary allotment also, on which candidates who have not secure allotment in the main phase are considered. For considering for supplementary allotment candidates are required to renew their application with the latest available school and subject combination. What is temporary and permanent admission in Kerala plus one HSCAP allotment?

Candidates who want to change their option after got allotment in first allotment results, are required to take a temporary admission in order to sustain their admission. Those candidates fails to take either temporary or permanent admission after got allotment are liable for termination from the plus one admission allotment process. Candidates are required to submit original certificates during intake of admission. Candidates who have satisfied with the current allotment can take permanent admission. Candidates taken temporary admission will only able to change to higher option only in the further allotment. If a candidates got allotment in more than one district, they need to take admission in one district only. If they take admission in one district all the allotment in other district will automatically cancelled.

How Centralized allotment will take place in Kerala plus one admission

Based on the data provided by students while submit their application online for plus one admission through HSCAP website, department of higher secondary education will create a rank list. Eligibility of each student for plus one admission are determined by WGPA (Weighted Grade Point Average). Based on WGPA, ranklists are prepared. Students who got higher WGPA for the particular school subject combination will get higher rank and will entertained for the admission.
