This year, students of Std.IX and X can also appear for the 2017 NEST Junior scholarship test.
The 18th Nationwide Education & Scholarship Test (N.E.S.T. – Junior) will be held on 30th July 2017. The good news is that this year it is also open to school students of Class 9 and Class 10. Hence this year there are two categories for the NEST-Junior scholarships. NEST-Junior I (for 9th and 10th Std. students) and NEST-Junior II (for 11th and 12th Std. students.)Scholarship amount

Test features and format
The NEST-Junior scholarship will be awarded on merit basis, as per the scores in the online test which is in English medium. This test has Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with 1 mark for every correct answer.
Subjects for NEST-Junior I category - this is for students of Class 9 and Class 10:
Total marks: 150
Duration: 2 hours
Subjects for NEST-Junior II category - this is for students of Class 11 and Class 12:
Total marks: 200
Duration: 2 hoursSyllabus
For the NEST-Junior I test, questions will be based on Class 8 and Class 9 NCERT books. A few questions in the test may also be based on what is taught in the lower level classes as well.
For the NEST-Junior II test, questions will primarily be based on Class 10 and Class 11 books, generally the SSC and HSC books as prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and other State boards in India. Fees
The participation fee is Rs. 500/-. You must add a fee of Rs. 250/- for a book of sample questions. This book is provided free of cost in the months of January and February.
After 31st March, 2017, there is a late fee of Rs. 100/- in April and May, 2017 and Rs. 200/- in June, 2017.How to apply
