On the tracks of Indian Railways' history, a special moment was created on 22nd May 2017 when the Tejas Express was flagged off at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. The Tejas Express entered the history records for being the country's first semi-high speed fully air-conditioned train with fabulous interiors and top-notch facilities. Tejas Express will hurtle along the tracks at a speed of 200kmph. It is a fully air-conditioned train with 19 coaches and the following facilities:
Tejas Express Schedule
From the year of its launch, Tejas Express has been operating between Mumbai and Goa, for five days a week in the current pre-monsoon period.

During the monsoon period from June to October (check dates at the official site - it is generally after 10th June to the end of October), Tejas Express will run for three days a week.

Central Railway has announced a change in days of service of 22119/22120 CST-Karmali Tejas Express with effect from 11th June 2019. The revised schedule is as follows:

Revised days (non-Monsoon season): No Change
Existing days (Monsoon season): Monday, Wednesday, Saturday

The ticket fare (refer to tariff below) will include Rs.20/- for all passengers for all classes towards packaged drinking water and newspapers which are provided to all irrespective of whether or not they have opted for the onboard meals service.
If you wish to opt for the onboard catering service of Tejas Express, the service will be included in your ticket fare. If you do not opt for the catering service at the time of booking the ticket and decide later to purchase a meal on board, then an extra amount of Rs.50/- per service is charged in addition to the prescribed catering charges (subject to availability.)
