The author gave valid reasons to practice yoga so as to keep oneself hale and healthy and also be active. Though we have been stressing the need of Yoga in India, people don't take it seriously. And when they go out of the country and see the people there practicing yoga, then they get the thought that they should also follow and do yoga. June 21st is the International Yoga day and UN has made all arrangements to practice yoga for the welfare of all across the world. Apart from the benefits mentioned in the article, I find the best benefit we get is "peace of mind". Yoga helps to reduce stress as it controls anger, fear, frustration etc. Meditation which is also a part of Yoga helps to concentrate and make your mind to focus on the things. Once our stress level goes down we may be able to live our life peacefully and happily. In many cases, yoga helps in controlling blood sugar and ultimately makes you free from many other diseases which are related to blood sugar.

Many "kriyas" are beneficial and keep viruses away from our body. Jal neti is the one where we intake salty water from the nose which removes pollen and viruses and avoids mucus to develop and keeps viruses away. There are other aasans which are helpful for our other internal organs.
